chocolate1 (and other teachers) what did you get? I did a mixture of things. My local grocery store had message cookies on sale for $4.99 and I bought hjer writing teacher that and a small plant. Her reading teacher got the cookie and some lotion. Her class teacher was the one I aske Gabriella to find out what she did on vacation. She likes to go to the beach, so with her cookie she got a beach towel and a travel/make-up bag. My daughter takes the bus and the plant I would have bought her would have been nothing but dirt when it got to her. ( she said she also like to garden). So tell all, the strange and the great. This year.... nothing. I teach high school, so sometimes you do, sometimes you don't.
I like the gifts you chose! I'm sure they all liked them! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World" | |

Wow, so nobody got anything!! That is kind of sad to me because, hell, I am on a fixed income and I find a way to show graditude for the fact that these people deal with my child and a bunch of other missmatched kids and somehow keep it rolling. Personally i think parents should be made to volunteer at least once a year. It would make a bit of difference in how involved they felt and how they percieved their daughter's teaching experience (or son's).
