I think it was the recent VH1 special that said Marvin's father had a tumor which led to him killing his son but I'm not sure of it

Yeah, I heard about that tumor thing, but still I think he meant to kill him, he didn't seem to have any remorse from it.

Marvin gave his father the pass to kill him when he raised his hands on him,,,,I certainly heard some discussions among the older crowd showing empathy toward Gaye Sr, that any man who raises his hans on his father deserve to die. At least from their point of view.

You know what? I ACTUALLY believe Marvin's parents may have really got into it and you know the ONE thing you don't do to someone's child is HURT their mother. Marvin Sr. was physically abusive towards his wife and Marvin Jr. saw this growing up so when the day came, he finally had enough of his father USING his mother and took matters into his own hands. Older folks may say Marvin Sr. did the right thing but I don't think so. Plus Marvin Sr.'s crazy ass later thought it was FUCKING BLANK BULLETS!!!! He claimed he didn't even know the motherfucker was loaded. Theirs was a fragile love story that probably wouldn't have been resolved.

I've talked to some Marvin fans and they think had Marvin survived the shots, he either would've talked to his dad or would've hated him even more than he did. Alberta Gay later said Marvin told her "Father hates me and I'm getting out of here." For some reason I'm starting to believe Marvin was crying for help. People knew how suicidal he was but were too scared to help him.

I wonder what also triggered the events that led to Sam's killing.

Dug this one up from an older thread here.

Is Will Smith A Closet Freak?

According to a former Hollywood Madame, actor Will Smith is gay and hired her two male prostitutes. The Madame, who moved her business to New York, tells Ian Halperin that Smith "has swung both ways for years" and was one of her regular clients. The unidentified woman claims that Smith, who has two children with wife Jada Pinkett Smith, "placed his order" fr a man after he trusted that she could "guarantee discretion." "I adto reassure him over and over that I could guarantee discretion," she sid. "Once I onvinced him I could, he placed his order. It was for a man. I had 14 women working for me and two guys. You’d be surprised at how many Hollywood stars requested the services of the guys." eek

Yep, he was toying with guns shorlty prior to his death.

And Gay Sr. didn't show any remorse or regret during his testimony(as Divided Souls pointed out).

One thing for sure, both men dealed with a shit load of demons in their lifetime.

According to Alberta, she wasn't too sure what Marvin Sr. was. He also cheated on Alberta numerous times and hardly worked. I think he was trying to be a top minister in his church and he wasn't given the top spot so he basically became semi-retired as a minister. He also started drinking alcohol around this time and this is probably a reason why Marvin Jr. feared the man.

That's real true. Marvin Sr.'s father George Gay was also abusive towards his children (Marvin Sr. was one of thirteen). Plus Marvin's mother's parents weren't helpful of their daughter, she had a baby out of wedlock while living in North Carolina and her parents forced her to move to D.C. with a relative. Both parents were basically suffering and the suffering passed on to their children, especially their eldest son.

During the marriage, Womack was creeping into his stepdaughter's (Linda's) room at night and having sex with her until Barbara caught him and held a gun against his head. She told him to get the fu** out of her house. Womack ran to the garage, Barbara followed and shot at him, the bullet grazed his scalp. This is the reason for their divorce in 1970. Linda would marry Bobby's brother and she would never speak to her mother again.

Little miss Linda was a bonafide Ho. Damn shame when a woman can't trust her first husbands' friend turned 2nd husband yet alone her daughter turned romantic rival. Nastier than the word itself!

that shit is an old internet rumor that's been going on for years and supposedly started out as an extortion type deal. One thing about will and jada...they keep it real and for some folk "real" is too real. Plus Ian Halperin can't be trusted for shit- he has told lies on practically everyone in hollywood.

“I don’t have an open marriage and no, we’re not gay – and you don’t trust that? Well then there’s nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I’m living my life, and I’m happy,” as Pinkett tells National Public Radio.
http://anythinghollywood.com/2009/03/jada-pinkett-smith-addresses-gay-rumors/

but um....I do believe the rumor that Jada broke up Will's first marriage and that his first wife was a Ho. boxed
