Richard!!! I hate that!! I hate it!!! You can't quantify what a good age to die actually is. We're all probably going to live until 120 because of fucking science - and even that's not long enough. This man dictated my childhood. He was charming, ruthless and a complete shit. But Blake Carrington always bailed his family out of jail - even that nasty bitch Alexis. John Forsythe was one of those rare men who became more attractive when they grow older... Only a handful like Carey Grant (sp?) and Sean Connery become silver foxes like John! I'm sorry he passed--I so enjoyed him in Dynasty--but I'm glad he lived a long and full life. I hope that I will be so blessed! | |

When Prince sang, "You don't have to watch Dynasty to have an attitude", he was talking about the ladies of this epic show... but, Blake was the playa, he had Alexis and Krystle all over him, fighting for him! I also remember his voice in Charlie's Angels... He was just a class act all around. RIP John Forsythe, God Bless. |

I was just 10/11 when "Charlie's Angels" was on the air and I watched it every week. His voice sounded so warm and friendly -- like I imagine a jazzy grandpa to have.

He was so good-looking. People always went on about how great-looking Joan Collins was for being forty-something at the time - but he was sixty-something and still drop-dead gorgeous. Where are the good-looking sixty-something leads on telly nowadays? Sally Field??? Is that it??? What have we all got to look forward to? Reality shows with people eating bugs and chat, chat, chat... Where is the fucking drama??? The glamour??? The aspiration??? I love you, Blake Carrington. | |
