Who are "better" drivers? Men Or Women? I only ask because I've been involved in three separate car accidents. The insurance companies ruled in my favor, clearly stating it was the other drivers fault. In all three accidents, the drivers were women! This does not sit well with me. I see women drivers all the time, driving way too fast, making silly/stupid decisions and just being careless. Grant it, I see a few "men" out there doing the same. No one is a perfect driver, but it seems women have always have a bad rep when it comes to driving a car.
No dis-respect to the many queens & princesses out there.

with my business, I see accidents nearly everyday...and from my point of view neither sex is worse than the other...here's how I generalize it...women tend to have accidents created by distractions or carelessness...men tend to have accidents because of aggressive driving and speed...
from my experience, men are usually in more serious accidents...

Ex-Moderator | Being male or female has no impact on what kind of driver someone is.
I will say, though, that car insurance premiums in the US are higher for young men than young women. Which shows that they are statisitically more likely to be in or cause an accident. I believe once you reach a certain age, they pretty much average out across gender lines. So take that how you will. |

Is that a serious question?

I'm sure, in the UK at least, that women get into less accidents. I think that's from insurance company stats.
Whether that makes them better drivers, is your interpretation.

I "like" when "people" use "quotes" around "things" for no "reason."
As someone who doesn't own a car, I salute all the drivers who keep an eye out for pedestrians.

Men are better at it. Women run better car washes though.

Whether that makes them better drivers, is your interpretation. there are even insurance companies that have lower premiums for women drivers the worst accidents (ie. fatal and gravely injurious) are nearly always young men - like Jase said, as a result of aggression and speeding and alcohol. Thanks to cell phones, there are a whole new breed of shitty drivers out there women meandering along at a snail's pace in the middle of two lanes, men pulling out from parking spots to do a u-turn WITHOUT looking out for other traffic first - all while yakkin on the phone!!! my friend had a very bad accident recently, wrote off her car. She was under extreme stress in her life (her mother had told her that morning she was going to kill herself, the adoption program she has been on a waiting list for 10 years was shutting down and she was told if she changes her preference for another country she is back to the bottom of the list) and she ran a red light. She has no recollection of how it even happened. MAJOR lapse in concentration - probably more typical with women drivers, whereas men drivers are more likely to take unnecessary risks.
