AMERICAN PSYCHO........THE MUSICAL

I would make a special trip to New York to see this. Even if it's cheesy as hell.

http://mog.com/MOG_News/blog/1742281

Producers David Johnson, Craig Roessler and Jesse Singer are planning to bring cult classic movie "American Psycho" to the stage in form of a musical. Our favorite serial-killing Wall Street yuppie will be singing lyrics written by "Spring Awakening" composer Duncan Sheik.

All we know is, Duncan is facing a TALL task if he wants to outdo the brilliantly disturbing axe murder scene featuring "Hip To Be Square" by Huey Lewis & The News.

No word yet on when the musical will make it's debut.

oh, that is a bad idea.

and while we are on the topic of terrible ideas for musicals, spiderman got pushed back AGAIN... now they are saying fall.

and all of us new yorkers are dying to see it because seeing a turd is often as enjoyable as seeing something great.

Psycho musical ...hmmm. Probably not good. But there will be Karen: The musical. (based on the beloved Karen Walker from the TV show Will And Grace) The musical will feature Megan Mullally as Karen and Leslie Jordan as Beverly Lelsie. Both actors have a history of musical theater. It is going to be funny to say the least.

she's been saying that for years.

it would be hilarious though, especially given the premise that karen has dropped a boatload of cash to open "karen: the musical"

i am really looking forward to the addams family one, american idiot, and spiderman (because it's going to be AWFUL)

I don't know about American idiot. After seeing the performers on the Grammy show-I thought how gross and sanitary they made Greenday sound. I dislike when they Broadway up Rock-it makes it boring and bland.

Rock and Broadway are a tricky mixture.
If I go to a Broadway show, I don't want the folk on stage to rock out so hard that I can't understand the lyrics. That is not always an issue at a rock concert.

But even les miserable was loud. I guess, I like little shop of horrors where the mix was right (with the doop-wop girls). I dislike the Rock of Ages and anything like that.(way to sanitary and made for old folk.)

ED was kinda funny. it could have been better, but it was funny. the number with the moose head on the wall alone was worth it.
