Waking up with Dry Mouth

Does anyone ever wake up with a dry mouth and feel like throwing up?

Not from being sick nor from having eaten anything weird the night before.

But just to wake up and have this strange feeling in your esophagus,
a slightly dry mouth, and this strange urge to vomit?

confuse

If I felt like that when I woke up it would mean I am sick and I'd stay in bed.

I feel a little nauseous when I first wake up quite often, and I can't really consider eating anything unless I've been awake at least an hour.

Do you take antihistamines? They can cause both of those symptoms.

Or you might just be dehydrated.

I always have a dry mouth and throat when I first wake up so I keep a pack of cough drops by the bed.

Since you mentioned a strange feeling in your esophagus,
in addition to the dry mouth and urge to vomit, it's
possible you could have acid reflux.

That could be many things.....

1- Sometimes people get that when they leave their mouth opened for a long period while sleeping...their mouth became very dry ...strepsils is the answer.... biggrin

2- It could be a beginning of a flu-like Symptoms

3- Or it could be that you have eaten something weird, and if you don't find it weird , your stomach finds it weird….. does that make any sense? lol

4-or there is a high possibility that it could a side effect of heartburn...gaviscon is the answer, or eat some cucumber, it will be very helpful...

I hope you are ok and I hope that helps

I get this too. Sometimes my tongue feels like cardboard.

I know that I sleep with my mouth open - and I suffer badly from heartburn.

i'm a heavy drinker and smoker. shortly before waking up i dreamt about flicking lots of 1x2 flat black lego bricks from my mouth.

this went on for at least a lego policemansworth.

then i woke up and brushed my teeth.
