I think, especially as we get older, that we need to trim so we don't look like Martin Scorsese (who looked at the Golden Globes like he may have gotten a trim finally) But shaping? Not a chance.
There's a technique that I saw where you push the eyebrow up, and the longer out of control hair will then point up. That's where to trim. My Legacy

This fucked with my head when I went to PR (before it became a trend here). For years I had pencil thin brows when I was a female impersonator. I didn't love them so much as a boy, but I was doing drag weekly. They were always looked as "girly" ESPECIALLY by macho hispanic men. Then I went to PR and all these fuckin dudes were walkin around like Juanita Harlow and shit.  | |

I want mine really shaped. my had a friend pluck them to perfection but I didn't do the upkeep and now have man brows(pretty unkept)

[Edited 1/26/10 19:10pm] Thank you. My method of shaping them now is I only do the excess. I don't really "cut" into the areas where there's full coverage...if that makes any sense.
Every now and then I'll have a lil' accident or slip with the wax and have to even it out.  That's the only time I'd go thin with them anymore, not on purpose.[Edited 1/26/10 19:23pm] | |
