Arenas Charged with a felony.

This is about as dumb as it gets:

NEW YORK — Washington Wizards teammates Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton drew guns on each other during a Christmas Eve locker room argument over a gambling debt, according to The New York Post.

Citing an anonymous source, the newspaper reports in Friday's edition that the standoff was sparked when Crittenton -- a former Georgia Tech standout -- became angry at Arenas for refusing to make good on a gambling debt. That prompted Arenas to draw on Crittenton, who then also grabbed for a gun, league security sources tell the Post.

I really can't believe people aren't making numerous jokes about the erstwhile Washington Bullets.

LOL

But as to Graycap calling it dumb.
Arenas is alleging that his guns were empty.
So you pull an empty gun to do what?
Are you assuming your teammate's gun is also empty? Why?

I thought the Bullets changed their name to the Wizards to avoid stuff like this.

I stopped following the NBA years ago.It seems like it´s turned into a freakshow.I miss the days of Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Dr.J, Larry Bird and Isiah Thomas.
Why is the NBA so fucked up these days?

confuse And what exactly is the point of having an unloaded gun in your locker in the first place??? Who decides to take a gun out of their home because of an infant but thinks it's a good idea to take it to their place of employment??? These fuckas get stupider everyday. disbelief

The real story is that Gilbert just recently had a baby girl, He said it was no reason to have guns in his house anymore and bought them to the Verizon center and gave them to the authorities about a week ago. This was actually in the news about a week ago.

There's more than a couple because this isn't the first time this has happened in an NBA setting.

Yeah, but there were head cases back in the day(remember Marvin 'Bad News' Barnes?). But because of technology, we're hearing more about player hijinks now.
