And I was almost late for a very important meeting tonight because the first D train that showed up at my stop was full of Yankees fans on their way to the game. At 5:15pm in midtown. (Like it takes 3 hours to get to the Bronx.) I had to wait for 2 more trains before I could shove my way on. How come the so-called revenue from all these visitors isn't helping the MTA provide more trains?

I'm glad Philly has to deal with them on Halloween. I'm sure that'll be a treat. (No pun intended.)

Many baseball players in the states now are from foreign countries, Latin America in particular, that you can almost say the American World Series can be "World" Series.

A true tournament where each country has its own team would be the World Baseball Classic that gets played every three years I believe. Japan has won both times since the tournament began in 2006.

In the back of my mind, I always assumed it was a genuine 'World Series'. Now I know better, I can't help but think that calling it that is at best presumptuous, or at worst arrogant.

There are many sporting codes that have players from foreign countries competing. Hardly a justification for calling it the world series.

I really don't see them beating Cliff Lee tonight no matter who starts so I say throw starting pitcher Chad Gaudin out there as a sacrificial lamb and then bring back A.J on full rest for game 6 back in NY on Wednesday. I trust A.J. on full rest much more than Pettitte on three days rest.

I'm of the same opinion. Pitch Gaudin, try for the win, but either way rest the bullpen and don't worry about the loss if it happens.

I didn't expect Cliff Lee to give up five big runs last night, but the end result was still the same as I thought--Yanks lost. And now they have to hope Pettitte can outpitch Pedro tomorrow on short rest.

With all this trash talking the Post is doing, the Yanks had better win tonight.
