nope. a game that may move a little every few hours while the audience gets loaded on beer isn't for me. It's like watching golf on a basebal diamond. SNORE

I'll watch basketball instead, and get drunk and watch a game that MOVES at the same time.

If you can't see the intricacies of each play in baseball then maybe YOU'RE boring.

Erin mentioned to me the other night that she always found baseball to be boring. But, now that she has been watching it more (she hasn't really had a choice wink ), and listening to me break down what is happening and all the possible situations and decisions during almost every pitch...she's realizing how cerebral the game is.

Not to go all Fox News on you, but you're either with the Yankees or with the terrorists.

That's so true. There's so much going on with every at bat, knowing which part of the plate to throw to, positioning the fielders and if runners are on base at the time, that makes it doubly complicated. A-Rod was doing some great mini-coaching during the last game of the ALCS.

A-Rod's in a great state of mind. I would be too if I was nailing Kate Hudson.

Have any of these countries had teams that have won the World Series?

I agree. I still hate watching baseball though. It's slightly more interesting if you're actually there but it's soooo boring. Pitch. Think. Spit. Spit. Pitch. Walk the dude. Spit. Huddle with the catcher. Huddle with the coach. New pitcher. Warm-up pitches. Spit. Pitch. Spit. etc. zzz I'm with Kat -- give me college hoops anyday!

I hope the Yankees lose! I find that the Yankees and Cubs have a lot of really obnoxious fans. (I lived 2 blocks from Wrigley field one year-it sucked.) So if the Yankees lose, the less bragging and obnoxious celebrating I have to deal with. smile
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

That's the truth! The old skool Yankee fans I don't have a problem with - it's these 20-30 year-old-somethings who jumped on the bandwagon in '96, and think they know everything about Yankee lore. Bunch of arrogant pricks - I hate them as much as I hate fans of the Celtics, Eagles, Cowboys, Notre Dame & Pacers.

disbelief

When the game is close, every single pitch means A LOT. And all that 'thinking' and 'spitting' builds suspense. smile

And shame on you as a New York city resident for rooting against the New York team. Do you know how much revenue each game generates for the city, not to mention winning the series? Might as well root for more budget cuts.

Yeah, Cliff Lee is good, but did he have to make it look so damn easy? Like catching that pop-up with one hand? And the grounder behind his back? When's he comes to bat in game five, the Yankee pitcher should make him skip a little rope. razz
