Names for characters

I'm in the middle of writing a short story and from the beginning I haven't been able to settle on names for my characters.

I need one female name and one male name... Both are in their early 30's.

Suggestions please! biggrin
I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

C'mon and dance while you, while you still have your cherry babe, cherry babe..

You write stories? Wow! I've always wanted to be able to write, but i'm totally rubbish.

I'm 31 and some of the most popular names in the year I was born are -

Boys names - Michael, David, Christopher, Jason or James

Girls names - Jennifer, Melissa, Amy, Jessica, Heather, Sarah, Michelle or (my personal favourite) Lisa. lol

I've not long started, though we're not talking 'Mills & Boon' stuff here wink lol

I'm trying to build up a collection of short stories before I get up enough confidence to approach a publisher shake

Thanks for the names. I'm the same age as you and I know people with those names lol for some reason, I can't write about characters with names of people I know rolleyes

nod that was back in the days when there only ever seemed to be about 100 different names to choose from. I went to school with 5 other Lisa's, and it was annoying.

My nan was confused when I named my daughter Cody. She thought we'd just made the name up because she'd never heard of it! lol Bless her!

lol Ahhh yes, I know that feeling well - I went to school with 6 other Kerry's, 4 of them were in my maths class - it was a right pain in the arse.

One of the boys who used to sit at the back in our history lessons would call out 'Lisa' and then count us all as we turned round!

I'm sure it brightened the lesson up for him. biggrin
