So getting a Prince or MJ tattoo is "stupid, ridiculous and obsessive", but giving your kid a Prince or MJ related name is not? Guess I'm having trouble differentiating the difference between it being okay to name your kid a Prince or MJ related name, but getting a tattoo of either one is not. So this is more so about my baby than it is about me.....or anyone else. I'm not into celebrity/family/cartoonish tattoos. If I were, I'd name the baby after it was born then get it's name tattooed on me, have like a 2 for 1 day, but that's never gonna happen. I'll just bless it with a really cool name and it and everyone will just have to learn to get over it. Just sayin'! I wanna b ur fantasy and maybe u could be mine! | |

Still don't see how naming your kid a Prince or MJ related name is not any more "stupid, ridulous and obsessive" than getting a Prince or MJ related tattoo, so I will just have to agree to disagree with you. It's pretty clear, in reading this thread, that you're going to do what you want to do, even though a lot of people on this thread (myself included) have told you that it's not a wise thing to do. I just hope you're able to explain to your kid, when he/she comes to you crying when they get picked on in school because of their Prince/MJ related name, why you chose to give them the name that you did. Whether you want to believe it or not, kids can be very cruel to any other kid who is different in any way (speaking from someone who experienced it first hand growing up). RIP, mom.
