Just because you tried something once doesn't mean you prefer that thing more than anything else. How is that logical?

It's my logic as far as this topic is concerned nod I brought this up to people at work and they couldn't believe the ongoing debate. They assumed, as I did, that most of you who really have a problem with my opinion, are gay or bi smile Maybe I've offended some of you, but oh well. There are plenty of people who feel much worse than I do. Like I stated before, I don't have a problem with gays or lesbians; However, I feel that you should own up to who you are. Why be scared and say "Well, it was only one time confused That doesn't make me gay " Are you afraid of society?

Saying that a one time encounter doesn't count is like saying a 40 year old man that rapes a 5 year old ISN'T a sex offender, because he was drunk and he only did it that one time neutral Of course he's not a sex offender, he was just curious neutral Give me a break. If you're a dude and you like it in the ass, own it! Don't try to cover those feelings by marrying a woman and having children. You are still gay deep down.

I guess some of you are just trying to justify your own lives and situations....

You just compared gay people to sex offenders.

1.I'm not comparing gays to pedophiles, but I'm pointing out the fact that someone stated that a "one-time" sexual encounter doesn't make a person gay or straight....but a "one-time" sexual encounter between a man and a child makes that man a sex offender neutral The "one-time" rule doesn't apply here, huh? Interesting neutral

As wack as your comparison to a sex offender is... you yourself said a "one-time" encounter would not count if it were girl-on-girl. shrug

And I'm sure this was a really open topic to get honest opinions about AT WORK rolleyes You got the answer you were looking for because you were AT WORK.

I have no idea how she thinks it can work one way for men and a completely different way for women. That's illogical. Not to mention, completely ignores the nuances of both male and female sexuality.

1. Same sex encounters don't land you in jail so why the pedophile comparisons?

2. Not all gay men like anal sex so stop with that stereotype.

3. If a same sex encounter occurs why do you assume that both parties involved liked it?

1.I'm not comparing gays to pedophiles, but I'm pointing out the fact that someone stated that a "one-time" sexual encounter doesn't make a person gay or straight....but a "one-time" sexual encounter between a man and a child makes that man a sex offender neutral The "one-time" rule doesn't apply here, huh? 2. I didn't say that all men liked anal rolleyes I believe I typed something about sucking dick, maybe 2 pages ago lol

3. Maybe they didn't like it shrug I've had sexual experiences that were not great, but I didn't stop having sex with men altogether; I just didn't have sex with that person anymore lol I don't think that if a guy has truly decided to go through with having a same sex experience, and it turns out to be a not so great experience, that he would say "Oh well, that urge is gone" neutral I think he would try it again, but with different guy. I could be wrong hmmm

Smooches;)

1. Then why even bring up pedophilia in the first place on a thread about gay sex if you're not comparing them? Why not compare gay sex to straight sex? How did your mind make the jump from homosexuals to pedophiles?

2. Your constant references to anal sex when describing gays suggests differently, but if I'm wrong I apologize.

3. You're not a guy so how would you know? You're saying men are different from women hence the double standard when it comes to gay sex so how you feel about sex shouldn't be applicable to men, right?

I have zero problem with your opinion as long as you don't try to pass it off as fact or paint people with a broad stroke.

Thank God I don't feel I need to justify myself to any damn body.

I know men who are sexually free that like assplay and all types of stuff. They can't be free to be who they are because society wants to put a label on them.

I don't know: maybe if some of the black community and society as a whole wouldn't make being gay out to be this horrible thing, so many men would not feel the need to be in the closet.

pray for the day when people mind their own fucking business.

The comparison to a pedophile is just jacked up.
[Edited 6/15/09 17:21pm]

So what's up with this sudden attitude that you have to be gay to have an opinion on gay culture and lifestyle? This IS a discussion thread or am I missing something here??? There are a lot of straight folks on this thread that agreed with your view so do they need to mind their fucking business too? confuse

I'm not understanding this current approach that just because one is not gay they can't have a valid point to contribute to the conversation. You don't have to agree with it but how does being straight invalidate her opinion just cuz you don't agree with it? Misha said repeatedly this is how SHE feels/thinks and that she's not homophobic. So what's everybody's damn problem?

Where did she present herself as an "authority figure" though??? She repeatedly said this is how SHE feels and how SHE thinks and if others feel differently that's their prerogative. She was actually more courteous about it than those that disagreed with her. Yet muthafuckas took the shit to next level as if she said emphatically that this is TRUTH which she never did.

I'm bringing it up because certain people up in here have a bad habit of constantly doing this type of shit. Like I said in the Queen Latifah thread if you believe that "Because SHE AINT GAY" she's not entitled to her opinion then by that same token white people shouldn't have shit to say about racism. But I'm sure ya'll would balk at that double-standard. You can't have it both ways is all I'm saying. shrug

Well, folks were coming at her head way BEFORE she made that comparison. And why are her comments ignorant if she says this is what works for HER? She never said that anybody else had to abide by her viewpoint or even understand it, she just stated what SHE would not want in a man. So, why all the extraness?

Just because a belief is one's own doesn't mean it can't be ignorant.

And whether people started on her before or after is irrelevant. She made a comparison that was uncalled for, period.

But you can be the arbiter of what's ignorant and what's not? So are all opinions contrary to your viewpoint ignorant? hmmm

I can on some things yes. As can you on some I might not.

I am gay. I know what it's like to be gay. I know it had nothing to do with one single "experiment". I've experimented with girls...didn't stick. I'm not even bi.
I know what ignorant careless comparisons and statements do.
Yes, I feel I can speak and arbiter ignorance to a certain extent on this.
