I got one of them AUS$9.95 tool kits from IKEA
All you need!!! 
admittedly when I was living alone I bought a toolbox cause it was so red and shiny

Unfortunately, I don't know how to use basic tools to handle specialized things like removing and replacing the leaking garbage disposal for example, now I have gobs of tools I will probably never use again in my lifetime. Home Depot has made a nice profit off of me and my DIY attitude.  | |

Home Depot has made a nice profit off of me and my DIY attitude. lawd, I hate replacing garbage disposals. I think DIY lists it as a medium dificulty job, and it may very well be if you can get someone to hold the device while you attach the little ring to it. But, I did mine alone and that shit took forever. And it leaked and drove me insane trying to find the source. | |

I've only done it once, and I swear I nearly lost my mind. Cost wise it was far cheaper than getting a plumber but the stress cost, I don't know whether it was worth it but I was challenged and I did it, so maybe it means something. | |

I have more tools than my sons and anyone else in my family! I have every kind of screw, nail, bolt, washer, etc. you can think of. I just put the grill and the computer desk together. I got my drill for Christmas...just what I wanted. I have a glass cutter that I used to make shelves. I have a tool-box. Wood glue. Carpet tape. Butterfly toggle anchors. Carpet tacks I used on the stairs. L-wrenches.
