What a shitty day!!

Most of you know, I'm a pretty easy going gal, maybe even simple-minded to some. However, I am a depressd and sad person inside, I just happen to have a great personality to make up for it!.
That being said, let's talk about the shitty day i had yesterday. I have a 20 year old daughter who genuiney feels like i've earned the right to kiss her ass. some may say I'm looking in the mirror, but i say no. she exaggerates that position to an annoying standoff that leaves me wanting to plot her death. what mother doesn't desere a simple Good morning or hello, only to latter on be ignored yet be demanded upon to give time and attention. Not only that, but never noticing that i hav worked my ass off througout the day and can appreciate a little less door slamming and such while i'm sleep.

if I pray, or chooseto stay alone in my room they swear I'm invoking a death wish. they are even more pissed when i refuse to fight them. You haven't been through enough to scare me, fuckin 12 year old!....is what i tell my son when he is pissed that i'm making noise in the kitchen, for his dumb ass to have a meal. it's not like i dont do little things with them, but to let them punk me almost daily??? no no no! they are an onery lot and that makes me ill, but they are mine and i love them. rightnowtho? .. they can kiss the darkest part of my fat ass cause I'm sick of them, their father is just as stupid and i dont, shouldn't, have the wherewithall to fight my own kids...right now, i dont care if they ever come home, i'm just that angry and hurt. ,

well, first things first, tell the 20 year old to get the hell out. and if the 12 year old has a problem with anything, just take it away. He doesn't like the noise from you making him a meal? Don't feed him anymore. He doesn't like noise? Be as noisy as often as you can around him.

I've raised 3 girls and believe me I know what you're talking about! Just try to live your life more for YOU and relish in the thought that they will get theirs. Your daughter will change once she becomes a mother believe it or not and try to be your best friend. biggrin

Seriously the 20 year old needs to learn the hard facts of life, which are its tough as hell out there don't handicap her life by making it easy!!!

My son is 12 and is in a bad mood 80% of the day confused we don't pander to it or accomodate that behaviour he gets a warning if it carries on there are consequences usually grounded

Having said that if i was a single parent i would be bloody useless, fact smile

What Jersey said would be my response too if it wasn't my own and I surely would act like he described but I also know that if you turn your back on your 12yr old it would not be a good thing...he needs some straight up guidance!
Sorry to say this but with your daughter..I think you're too late so, as much as painful as it is...kick her out.
Your son is another thing.
The advice I want to give you is...do not give up on your daughter but focuss on your son.
Set some heavy boundries on him and stick with them.

Sorry if my advices are not the ones you're looking for...send me an orgnote if you feel the need to vent rose

I wasn't teasing I'm dead-to-real on this! You're gonna take lip from her and she's a grown woman??? School of hard knocks is whats up... Sorry but I don't play!! She needs to get herself a jobby-job and take care of her very own grown folk business... Line her up for a studio apt, pay her deposit but DON'T co-sign the lease and make her fulfill her obligations as an adult!

As for the 12 year old I think that if you show him what's up with Sis then it could be him just as well. In this day and age we need tight reins on the young folks. I'd take him to volunteer together at a shelter or something let him know it's not all warm beds and TV's with a mother that loves you and cares for your needs.

Good luck, seriously!

Bloody kids mad They can be ungrateful little shits at times.

I think that maybe it's time that you called them both out on their behaviour. Sit them down, either together or individually and say something along the lines of 'I love you, with all my heart and I will do anything I can to keep you happy and healthy, but I really am tired of you talking to me and treating me like shit. I'm not having it any more. If you do continue to treat me like something you trod in, then I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ....:insert a threat you fully intend on carrying out: - be it discontinuing allowance/pocket money, taking away of privileges, grounding for the youngest, and maybe stopping favours, cash, lifts etc for the eldest. Make it clear what will happen if their behaviour continues and then make sure you actually carry it out. They won't like it, but it might make them think twice about it in the future.

My daughter is only 4 (and I am DEEPLY aware that I have all this to come!) If she starts up on me, with the whole tears and tantrums thing I stop her by saying 'do you REALLY think that acting this way is gonna make me give you what you want? Is this behaviour REALLY working for you?' and she soon stops, because she knows it's not gonna get her anywhere lol I know yours are older, but it might work shrug

Good luck hug
