Great story on Chauncey Billups. cool

Awesome stuff. I thought Chauncey would be one of those who never quite "made it", but it finally clicked for him in Minnesota & Detroit. Every college player who has dreams of playing in the NBA should read this.

That was one of the better pieces that I've read.

I agree, that was brilliant. I'm glad of what Chauncey has been able to accomplish regardless of what team he's under.

I still don't like what I'm seeing from the Lakers. Where was the killer instinct? They looked soft out there, and Bynum hasn't done shit so far.

The Lakers look dead right now. They could eventually win this series with just Kobe and Gasol but I don't know what will happen if they face Denver. Will they get swept if Bynum doesn't do shit? And Phil Jackson seems too relaxed.

You have to admire the way Chauncey WILLED himself to be a better player. A couple more seasons like this, and he could be a HOFamer.

If cats like Lamar Odom and Tim Thomas had that kind of fire, they'd be doing something instead of being underachievers.

If I didn't like Chauncey from his Detroit days, I'd be rippin' him for what he did to my Hornets...pissed

Celtics are battle-tested - that's what you need to go deep in the playoffs. Looks like we'll have a Game 7. Can't wait for CarrieLee to post game pics.

Lakers are handling their business so far.

Heck yeah and we are going to do it again on Thursday night. The Lakers sent a nice little messages to all of the critics out there, and hopefully the critics got that messages; The Lakers are still the baddest Mother$#@&ing team in the NBA.

They still got mashed by a Rockets team with 22 All-Star appearances, 15 All-NBA Teams, 4 DPOYs and 2 scoring titles all in street clothes.

And the Lakers are still up 3-2 and will close it out Thursday.

My point still stands! razz

The Lakers haven't proven to be the best since 2002, but many of their fans feel otherwise. Perhaps this is the year they do it, but to say that they're still the best is pushing it.

Yeah- Utah's consistently been a solid team, but never a championship team. They were close a few times, but they haven't gotten there. I thought this year could see them truly contend, but I was wrong. sad Portland, on the other hand, has made quite some good strides over the past few years, and if they can keep their core intact, they could be a force.

Sorry, but that aint about to happen. A run n' gun style game works well for the Lakers. And if you want to do a half court game, all the better. Who is going to stop the 2nd unit of the Lakers let alone the starting five?

The Lakers in five games.
