Awwwww.. I too had an external backup at one time ( electric powered) It fried. ( the newer USB versions are far better) Thankfully I valued my children and my travels so much, I had them on CD's and later DVD's. I lost the sounds however.

Do you have the gigantic compilation you sent me home with? I can have that off in a second!

After that, I collected like three times that amount of MP3's. When I got the new drive, Lars and Luc (my bro in law) both donated their ENTIRE MP3 collection.

Lars' complemented my own previous collection, so that needed little tweaking. Luc's collection was more of a handful; he is a HUGE fan of GLITCH and minimalistic techno, of which most artists sound a bit the same to me, so I just kept the ones that could carry a tune. Hehe.

And then Jurgen dumped a collection in my lap I cannot talk about, the sweetheart. Across the line, a lot of Orgers have been nice to me; Charlotte, for instance. And Aksel. And Miguel. I love these peeps.
