What was the best moment for you of 2008?

I have so many high points from this year that it is hard to decide. One that i can't really share but suffice to say that a line was crossed that i have never crossed before and that is something nothing can ever remove from me.

We have also had orgers galore at our house creating so many fine memories and laughs.
However April 7th 2008 will be forever a happy memory that many of you guys shared with us also.

Thanks for all your wishes and sharing our journey.

my dad getting out of the hospital a bit after the year began; he'd spent the last part of '07, through x-mas and new year's, in the hospital due to a collapsed lung. he's still going through respiratory therapy and all, but he's alive and kicking.

woot!

Gawd '08 is SO full amazing experiences and wonderful journeys!!

First I really must admit that I'm really happy to have started actively orging more this year than lurking... I've made SO many new friends and acquaintances and I appreciate you all. Now, I just have to figure out how to meet you in person!!

In February my family and I went to Hawaii... AWESOME!

In July my wife celebrated her 30th, roasted a whole pig for that... AWESOME!

In September my sister got married ('bout time) and we got decked out in our finest... AWESOME!

In November we elected President Barack Obama... AWESOME!!!

Now it's December but there's still more to come, the year ain't over... AWESOME!!!

Thanks to all for sharing and I wish you all the best of times!

* going to my friend's wedding in memphis, seeing graceland, and connecting with a bunch of friends i haven't seen in years

* going to NYC and watching "xanadu: the musical" with endo & carriempls, and torturing them further by selecting seats ON STAGE dancing jig

OK, maybe not Xanadu itself, but the long weekend at the Chelsea in it's entirety.

The best moment of 2008 for me was when the judge presiding over the custody battle between my ex and I said that, "The custody of the minor children is awarded to the mother."

I cannot really describe the emotions that I felt. I can tell you that I sobbed and heaved harder than I ever have in my whole life.

Beyond that...

Moving back to VA and being surrounded by my family.

Meeting someone that I adore for the first time. mushy

Finally smiling and being able to genuinely say, "I'm happy."
