Minneapolis this morning...(local topic warning!) Not sure how many of you are aware but as you may remember from August of last year, a major bridge in Minneapolis collapsed during the evening rush hour killing 13 people and injuring scores of others. It was a tragic day that saw numerous heroes and sadness.....today the new I 35W bridge opened after a 24/7 marathon of construction that lasted nearly 13 months...
I drive past this place everyday and this morning on my way to work I will cross the new bridge and remember those who were directly affected by the events that unfolded that day and the days that followed... Here is the scene this morning as the bridge opened for business at 5am....

I needed to cross everyday, but lots of people did...peace for those who lost their lives that day. | |
