My Love Is Forever

I am in love with a young woman. We've been friends for just over 6 months. We get along great, but we never dated. We visited each other and sat around talking one-on-one, and talked over the phone, and so on. She now knows that I'm very fond of her.

In two weeks, she'll moving far away, for her job. She'll return in two years. Coincidentally, I may have to make a work-related move of my own, just around the time she gets back. I'll probably get to see her once or twice before she leaves. I want to get her a nice piece of jewelry. I can hand it to her before she leaves, or send it through the mail...it doesn't really matter to me. I was looking at bracelets and bangles, but I can't make up my mind. I want to give her a gift that says, "my love is forever."

Give her jewelry that is in halves, that way when you meet up again, you can join 'em.

Before you go out and spend a whole lot of money on a woman you're in love with..... I think you better find out where she stands. You say you're just friends, and she might see you as just that... a friend. And you two have not dated, so the relationship is a friendship. You say you're in love with her, but..... is she in love with you??

You say she's moving away for 2 years, job situation. So there's really no way to have a relationship if you both choose to. And then you having to deal with your job situation upon her return.

Most of what you've said is true. I've already considered it. First thing is, I don't plan to spend a whole lot of money on this one gift. I'm not proposing marriage or anything like that. Second, I have to admit that I don't know where she stands. She didn't know where I stood until a couple of days ago. But that's okay, because I'm going to buy her something anyway.

And I believe we can have a relationship even though we're apart. It will be limited, obviously, but we can still communicate with each other on a regular basis via email, etc. And like I said before, my love is forever.

That's a cool idea. I don't really ever wear jewelry, though.
