Just as I was going to make my move and knock on the front screen, she closed the door on me. Then she went to bed. I was at her open window when her damn cat climbed up there and was hissing at me. I was making scary noises and scratching the screen trying to scare the cat away so I could make my move but the damn cat got louder. I guess she got scared because she then quickly crawled to her parents room. I never saw her again...oh what might have been. Wow! I will never think of that time the same ever again!!!!! Any other scary childhood memories I can help you out with???? "Always blessings, never losses......"

Ever had a haunting or a creepy experience? Yes I have. As a child one summer, my parents had gone to bed before I, and I stayed up to watch SNL. The front door was open, with just the screen door shut, and as I was sitting there, I got this odd feeling, so I hurried up and shut the door. So all was good I thought....so, I then went to my room, where the windows were open, due to the fact it was summer and NO A/C. As I shut off the lights, my cat jumped into the window, something he did every night, he was up there for just a few short seconds when he began to hiss and cry, and his fur stood up. Then came the noises that I myself can never explain except saying they were evil sounding. Then came the scratching on the window screen, and my cat hissing even more. I froze in my bed, scared to look outside. First I thought this must be a joke, but if it was the dogs outside would be barking at who ever was outside. I managed to crawl under my covers and crawl to my parents room. The next morning my Dad went to check things out...and he found out that my window screen had been clawed up. I am not sure what was out there, but I am very glad I didn't look. what the fuck

I am not sure what was out there, but I am very glad I didn't look. Yes. I can relate Moni. STORY #1 One day when I was in college, I was in my room (at my parents' house) working on a paper. I was alone in the house with my dog. My room was at the end of the hall that led to the living room area. My dog was at my feet while I worked, when suddenly he stood up and looked out of the door and towards the (darkened) living room. He started growling and the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. Then he starts barking. I'm like WTF?!?!? He stalks into the living room and begins to bark at a corner of the sofa. He's sniffing at it, and getting close to it then backing away, then he starts circling it, but staring right at the one end of the sofa, as if someone were sitting there. I really freaked out, and grabbed him and led him back to my room, where I shut the door and turned up the stereo. Whoever was visiting me that night really made an impression! STORY #2 I was also at home one day with a cousin who was visiting for the summer. No one else was home. My parents have an upstairs apartment that no one was living in at the time. So we're in the living room watching TV, when we hear the unmistakeable sound of someone landing in the kitchen above us. There's a window that had easy access from the garage roof...so if we ever locked ourselves out of the house, that's how we'd sneak in (provided that the apartment was empty). So we hear the sound that feet make when you land on the floor (as if jumping in from an open window), then we hear footsteps above us - left, right, left, right, left, right - from one end of the room to the other. We immediately think that a burglar got in, so we barricade the stair door and listen out for more. However, there were no more footsteps. Now we're spooked. Minutes later, my brother and another cousin come home, so we arm ourselves (bats, knives & 1 machete) and head upstairs. [Did I mention we were foolish teenagers at this time???] We searched room-by-room but there were NO sign of an intruder, and the windows were all shut. when u say foolish teenagers all I can think of is your little mack daddy son. He's gonna be one too!

I agree. I don't disclose a lot of information about the things I experience, not even to my wife. My mom and I are both, how do you say, "sensitive" to what people typically think of as the supernatural. For as long as I can remember, to the point where it doesn't even bother me anymore. My mum was asleep when she felt something putting pressure on her feet. She turned her tv on, it stopped, she looked around, nothing there.
As soon as she turned the tv off, it started again. Now she can't sleep without her tv on. The creepy part? The same thing happened to my grandma that night, but she thought it was the family cat so she kicked it Recently, we've had similar experiences tho none as obvious as those two incidents.

MoniGram said: Okay I got goosebumps from your stories!!!! Alright then...here's the one that sealed my belief in spirits/ghosts (yes, I've posted it about 3 times in past threads); STORY #3 When my daughter was around 18 months or so, she was visited. One night my wife & I were in the living room watching TV with the kids upstairs in bed. Around 10:30/11:00pm I hear my daughter crying. I go into their room to see what's wrong with her...and I see her laughing & giggling. Now, even though my daughter is a friendly social butterfly today, she was downright MEAN as a baby. She barely smiled. So, to see her laughing like that was strange (which is why we thought that she was CRYING). I went over to her and asked her what's wrong. She silently pointed towards a corner of the room, and kept giggling and popping her head in & out of the covers...like playing hide-&-seek. As you can imagine, the hairs on the back of my head stood on end. I kissed her goodnight and went back downstairs. When my wife asked me what was wrong with her, I simply told her that "someone must be visiting her". That went on for a good half-hour. SURE ENOUGH...my wife received a call the following morning. My wife's grandfather had passed away during the night...at around 10:30/11:00pm. Just so happens, my daughter is named after my wife's late grandmother. Until the day I die, I can never deny the existence of spirits/ghosts. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Well my hike on an old battle ground is like over used and old news compared to you guys. I'm not sure I believe in spirits as much as the energy that is left in places.
This is cool...more stories please!

If I remember rightly various members of my family woke around the same time, the time my great grandmother passed away last year, around 6am or so...I think that's happened before.
My aunt visits a psychic and the psychic correctly predicted when our great grandmother would pass away. It was exactly 6 weeks from that visit. I feel a little annoyed sometimes because my aunt chose not to tell anyone til after my gran had passed. My aunt also told me about hauntings in her house. She said one of her sons, he's 6 btw, has the ability to see ghosts. She said he saw the ghost of her husbands father standing at his door one night and got scared cuz obviously he thought it was his own dad just standing there staring. She said the toys often turn on by themselves, move around, move on their own. Her husband has reportedly seen people walking around the house. She said once her son got stressed out about going to kindergarten to the point where he'd bawl every morning when it came time for her to leave him there. She asked him to show her what was wrong. He told her there was a woman that would appear the bathroom mirror and would scratch at her face violently. My aunt asked her psychic what to do and she said tell it in a firm voice to "GO AWAY!" and it did. He's never been bothered by her since. He also talks of a little boy around the house. Once she was home alone so she let her sons sleep in her bed, and it was pouring rain. Her son turned around and said "Mummy, the little boy wants to come in, he's getting wet". She couldn't move. Her younger son doesn't seem to "see" but he's a pretty easy going happy go lucky kinda kid whereas Riley is quite "deep" for a child. I wonder if personality has anything to do with it... I must admit when I've been scared, the "GO AWAY" thing does seem to help, even if its just my imagination My mum tried it too and said it worked for her as well.

Until the day I die, I can never deny the existence of spirits/ghosts. Not only did this story send goosebumps up and down my arm, but it brought tears to my eyes. What makes it all so much more interesting is that in life, the man did not know that my kids existed. When my mother-in-law was a child, he abandoned the family for another woman. Her mom struggled to raise, feed & provide for the family, ...and died young from the toils it took on her health. This was in Puerto Rico BTW. My mom-in-law pretty much had very little contact with her father over the years, almost none after she moved to the States. When my wife was a teen, she "met" her grandfather (he happened to pay a visit to someone that she was visiting at the same time). He barely acknowledged her or her sister. So as you can imagine, my wife had no contact whatsoever with her grandfather. The only link I see (besides blood of course) is that my wife allegedly looks just like her late grandmother, (he made mention of it to someone after their very brief encounter) and of course my daughter was named after the woman he scorned.
