The Bees are gonna make noise!! Pissed that they're slipping out of the #1 seed, but watching them come back (albeit falling short) from that 30 point hole against the Lakers gives me confidence that its not gonna be one and done....

GEAUX HORNETS!!!!

Don't put too much stock in the Hornets. They lack experience and that's gonna do them in, and maybe even in the 1st round.

Not true. There are 4 players on the roster (Peja Stojakovic, Bonzi Wells, David West, Tyson Chandler) with playoff experience. By himself, Peja has made it to the first and only appearance in the Western Conference Final.

The 2 main advantages the Hornets have over most teams in the Western Conference is that they're young & healthy. If teams like the San Antonio OR Dallas were to show up in a playoff game as the "walking wounded", they'll be in for a shocking defeat.

Sorry, but 4 players won't cut it. Plus, only Bonzi and Peja have gone deep into the playoffs. That really won't cut it. The 'Offs is about experience. To win the title, you have to have experience. The Hornets don't have that yet.

I don't buy that at all....lack of experience is overrated, especially in a series format...I don't think they're any less experienced than the Celtics, and they're almost a lock (according to the experts) to make it to the finals...

If you think experience is overrated, then name all the young, inexperienced teams that have won a title without having previously gone deep into the playoffs before winning the title.

- The Hornets are young
- The Hornets are inexperienced

That doesn't bode well for a title run. Consequently, the Celts are seasoned vets, with a player that has won 2 titles (Sam I Am), an MVP, and players that have been deep into the playoffs, so you can't possibly compare the Hornets to the Celts.

Exactly. In the playoffs, your strengths & weaknesses are MAGNIFIED, every possession is crucial. Who's going to get that tough rebound, make that crucial stop, hit the big shot? The Spurs have done that. The Mavs have been to the Finals(where they got screwed by the refs), but I don't like their team this year. LA? Kobe & Fisher have done it in the playoffs, but what about the other guys?

Sam I Am won two titles in the mid 90's and arguably is a shell of the player he was then....KG won ZIP with the T-wolves in the playoffs...and the rest of their players aren't what you'd call banner performers in the playoffs either...my point is that its all about who comes to play....and who wants it more...cuz I'm pretty sure a lot of folks didn't think that LeBron's ability would be enough to overcome all of the Piston's experience last year in the Eastern finals....and they've got a slew of title winners on their roster....

....its all semantics at this point....GEAUX HORNETS!!!

You're completely missing the point: It's not about what they did back then, it's about EXPERIENCE. I don't understand how you can talk about KG not winning "zip" when CP3 hasn't won a damn thing close to what KG has done. And Ray Allen balls in the playoffs as well as Pierce, so I really don't know where you're getting all this nonsense from. But, I think I'll just chalk it up to "Hornet Homerism" because by the looks of your last sentence, it wouldn't matter if Byron Scott HIMSELF told you that experience is important lol .

May very well be homerism as you call it, but you seem to be missing the point that experience isn't the end all be all to me...I mean, you can look at it this way...for all the individual "ballin'" that some guys do in the playoffs, how many of their TEAMS have benefitted from it?...just look at T-Mac...he's got lots of playoff experience, but his teams usually end up on the bus home by the end of the 1st round...just because they haven't been there doesn't automatically reduce the Hornets to one and done status...nor does it guarantee that they're gonna fold faster than Superman on laundry day when they hit a rough spot...bottom line, all the supposed experts have been saying all season long that the Hornets would crumble under the pressure of the playoff race...yet they end up winning a division with 3 other "more experienced" teams....

yes, I get it...season and playoffs=two different things...but my point is that experience is only one factor in the whole package...

No, it is in fact homerism, because you can't say experience is underrated when experience is one of the main reasons teams win titles. Again, you can't name an inexperienced team that won a title. T-Mac doesn't have deep playoff experience, that's the whole point a few have been trying to make to you. You think we're making this stuff up?

The regular season and the playoffs - 2 different seasons. The Hornets will soon find this out lol.

The Lakers (current edition) was a lousy team when he took over 2 years ago.
