Slightly bizarre riddle game - Congrats sj1600 for being first to complete it!

I'm sure many of you have heard and solved the riddle where you're supposed to transport a wolf, a sheep and a cabbage across a stream? Well, here's a more advanced - and bizarre - version of that riddle. You're supposed to transport a family with four kids, a cop and a convict across the stream.

The rules:
Everybody has to cross the river. Only two people on the raft at a time. The father cannot stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence (because then he'll beat the daughters up! eek), the mother cannot stay with any of the sons without their father's presence (because then she'll beat the sons up! eek) and the convict cannot stay alone with any family member. Only the father, the mother and the cop know how to operate the raft.

The link:
http://freeweb.siol.net/d...IQGame.swf
(Click on the blue circle to begin. Place people on the raft by clicking on them, then click on the pole on the opposite side of the river to send the raft across.)

Now let's see how is fastest at solving this (no cheating please). When you've solved it, describe what happens when it's completed as proof of your victory.

Good luck!

lol Don't worry, I've completed it myself. It requires a few trips back and forth but it's definitely doable.

Ok I've done it, and they're all doing some kind of weird, both arms pumping the air salute thingy.

I can't remember how I did it!

I know, it's pretty weird isn't it? The dad assaults the girls and the mum assaults the boys. And that falling leaf when they do it, what does that mean? falloff

Well, since it's a multi-step process where each step depends on the previous one I can't really give all that many general hints. All I can say is that it's crucial to think ahead as many steps as possible, and that even though it might feel counterproductive to bring people back from the other side sometimes, it's actually very necessary.

If this was me and my family, we all would've squeezed on that raft and then went to the house in the back and had a barbeque. nod

I did it!! woot!

Okay...this is how I think I did it.

The cop takes over the convict and then comes back alone

The cop takes over a boy child and then comes back with the convict

The father takes over a boy child and comes back alone

The father takes over the mother and the mother comes back alone

The mother takes a girl child and then mom and dad come back together

And after that I forget what I did. confused

All I remember is that the convict is the last one to go over and stay over, allowing the cop to transfer two of the kids.
