Possible Kobe Bryant Trade Scenarios

It sounds like Kobe's foot is halfway out of the Staples Center. It's sounds like Kobe's trade talk has pissed off owner Jerry Buss. Can anybody think of any possible legitimate trade Scenarios for Kobe? Who would you trade on your team to get Kobe? Graycap this is a thread for you.

Wasn't it just a short 3 seasons ago he wanted his own team, to do things in his own. Now his punk ass wants help? Ah, Kobe, you had help with a big ass nigga named Shaq and you kicked him out of LA.

That is funny that you mentioned that. I remember seeing an interview with Kobe and he said he was not a Jordan fan. If you notice Kobe speaks, walks, and he even has the same mannerisms as Jordan. He even changed his number like mike. I could see him playing for the Bulls or maybe the wizards. Kobe is in denial if he says he is not a jordan fan!

I don't like Kobe, but he can Ball!

Well with KG gone, The Timberwolves don't have anything to offer the Lakers. Even if they did, He would be in the same situation he's in now. A great player with mediocre talent around him.

Kupcheck has proven that he does not know what he is doing. Using salary cap limitations, the Bulls should offer: Hinrick, Ben Wallace and a 1st round pick. Kupcheck would take that deal and the Bulls would pull off a steal. Problem? Paxson is a worst GM from trades stand point than Kupcheck. Pax will probably give up, Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas, a 1st pick and Lou Deng which would be a big mistake.

Honestly, I don't think Paxson or the Bulls have the balls 2 pull off a trade of this magnitude.

I wish the wizards would trade:

deshawn stevenson
antonio daniels
brendan haywood
Nick young
and draft pick

for Kobe

I would like to see Kobe play with Gilbert Arenas, Antwann Jamison, and Caron Butler.

Who are scrubs. Washington is going to take the eastern Division this year. They would of done it, last year but arenas and butler got hurt and didn't play in the play offs.

Kobe and Arenas, it they could work together that would be great, but if not, it would be a pain watching them steal the ball from each other. lol

The "I" in that sentence certainly explains that ridiculous trade scenario. No way in hell the Lakers make that wack ass trade. lol

Either way the lakers will lose out ,just like the timberwolves did with Garnett. All of those forementioned players are good. Nick young was a 1st round pick this year. The wiz have a 1st round pic they got from memphis this year. The only player that has talent anywhere near Kobe is that is tradeable is Vince Carter. But why mess of new jersey's chemistry. Like I said before, the lakers will always get the short end of the stick. They better trade him now before he opts out in 2 years and they get nothing for him. Kobe isn't going to go to a losing team. Kobe could win a championship playing with arenas, butler, and Jamison.

In the long run, I don't think Kobe gets another ring in the NBA. The guy is extremely selfish as a player and does not utilize teamates well. I hope the Bulls pursue a low post player instead of Kobe.

The one thing Kobe does well is finish games. The Bulls don't have a finisher and Kobe would fit nicely. I just worry about the other 46 minutes of the game.

Kobe wants to be Jordan .. he's not foolin' anybody. In 2000, was a big write up in the New York paper..when they won that 1st ring in 2000, the Lakers were talking about getting rid of Kobe 'then' cause Phil Jackson was complaining that Kobe was constantly trying to tell him to switch up the plays (trying to be a Jordan.. only Jordan could suggest things to the coach and his suggestions were used). Jackson was using the same plays around Shaq and that's how they won against the rival teams and Kobe didnt like it (cause he couldnt shine). Kobe appologized and they forgave him. Lakers made a huge mistake.. they should have carried out their plans.

Despite his negatives, I still say Kobe's the best player in the NBA. Great finisher, three rings, clutch playoff performances. Give the cat his due.

He is a great individual player. No doubt but I peeped his game 10 years ago. Kobe cares about Kobe. Period.

Amen. I wouldn't want him on my team at any cost, as he would thwart my team's chances of winning the championship.

THIS idea came from a long time Laker fan:

Trade Kobe to the Miami Heat in hopes of getting Shaq back!!! nod

Shaq made be a little old in age, but at least he's loyal.
wink

nod Correct. Years back, Kobe was too selfish to see that he had a far better situation for himself (at a young age at that!) than Michael ever did.

Yes, Michael won 6 NBA championships without a true center. But could you image how great Michael could've had it with a true center like Shaq, David, Hakeem, Kareen, or even Wilt?!?

The Shaq/Kobe thing was on both those dudes. They both couldn't set aside their egos for a bigger cause so it was bound to blow up on them. Kobe's ego is big but ONLY Wilt had a bigger ego than Shaq. That dude HATES to share the spotlight, ask Lil Penny.

Not true. Shaq has always been a firm believer that every basketball team need to have a one-two punch (Examples: Magic & Kareen, Michael & Scottie, Larry & Kevin). Shaq did everything he could in trying to make Penny & Kobe see this.

The only problem with that is when the sport media (provoking controversy along the way) started the "Who's The Next Michael Jordan?" movement by singling out Penny & Kobe, making them get big-headed with their egos, turning into ballhogs in the process. And yes, the media try to do the same thing with Allen, Grant, Tracy, KG, and LeBon.
