I believe in soulmates, but I also believe that you may never find that soulmate. There are regional sub-soulmates, but the ONE may be on the other side of the hemisphere and you may never get there or them here

I do... I even have all "the boxes" (as onenitealone put it),ticked. I also had to add some boxes to that list. He's what I want, what i need and what I never looked for... I consider us blessed to have waded through all the BullShyt of 6 million people and found one another.

I am going to log off now and pay someone special some special attention.

i think that's wonderful. mushy Lucky you! hug

I must add , though, that I don't think exactly in those terms... I don't have a questionnaire or something lol or a list of these imaginary boxes, it was just the way my mate described her concept of the 'one' which made more sense to me. nod As others have already said, if there is only one 'one', what the hell do you do if something happens to that other person? You give up? confused People would never fall in love or marry ever again. I just think you can relate to different people, in different ways, and can have that same level of intimacy. But... it is VERY hard to find.

Now, go give that guy of your's a kiss! smile

I think most everyone in your life is a soulmate - from relatives to friends to loversto penpals. I also believe that these relationships we have throughout our lifetimes will vary in length - but will have meaning in some form or another.

But do I believe there is a ONE for me...?

And if she is out there reading this,
lemme say that even though I responded to that "Are You Cynical" thread, I am not a cynic. I just tend to feel sexually transient every once in awhile.
If that affects my personality in any manner that could be interpreted as negative,
I feel that, in the big picture, it all balances out,
in that I like both turtles and frogs, equally.
And if any of what I just posted rubs you the wrong way,
then org-note me your address & I'll mail you a huge dildo
so that you just go & just fuck yourself.

I totally believe in soulmate. Quite often I think that my true love is somewhere out there. I'd like to meet him sooner rather than later but I've been discovering the joy of being patient in this area. It also helps that I've had more sex than I've had in years. woot! He's out there, I pray that our paths meet soon. In fact I know our paths will meet. biggrin
