is this for the past 24 hours or since I woke up today? Cuz I just woke up.

I would imagine the number would be a big goose egg no matter how you calculate it!

biggrin

You want to know how many Geese I've talked to today? Ok like maybe one. But he's stuffed. Does that count or do only living things?

Does asking a question in class count? I was really only talking to the teacher.

Assuming the rest of the class does not count, I spoke to. . .10 people today. 18 if you count email/orgnotes.

Way, way too many.

150 people, and that's a conservative estimate plus a slow day. This does not include phone interactions. Some of the individuals I follow up on to see if surgery went OK and how they did. I like to trouble shoot so that always involves more communication. I had two atypical interactions today. I was in the specialty coffee line and a resident came along and stood beside me. His buddies were ahead of me and he wanted to join them. I gave him a look, like "I'm next"...he offered to buy me a coffee...he joined his friends and I got a free Mocha.
Another unusual interaction: A heme-onc doc couldn't get into the unit because the doors had a glitch and couldn't be opened manually only with the ID badge which he hadn't bothered to clear through security because he's always too busy. I arranged for security to clear his pass even though you generally have to be present to do so. He thanked me. He's a cranky sort and I thought maybe it'll make his day a little better.
Actually, 200 people is a closer estimate.

Okay, did you talk this much to each of them?

Haha! j/k

biggrin

50% of them, to their misfortune, yeah!! (I worked a 10 hour shift).
The other 50% even more. I listen ,too. On rare occasions when forced.

Less than usual, I think. I probably only talked to Alex, a dude called Ray at work, and my instructor for my training class. Oh, and Bernard. And my brother and dad.

Ugh, I can't wait til training's over and I'm at my desk on the phones. Then who fucking KNOWS how many people I'll talk to in a day. Any one with Verizon in the northeast though, I'll take care of ya. razz
This one's for you.

Did that include the bus driver? That question also goes out to justerin, retina and jerseykrs.

Sometimes I have a female bus driver. She is just as unfriendly as the male ones. Still, some are OK.
