The creepy guy that was on Six Feet Under, the Undertaker.

Well in this show he, 'Dexter' is in forensics finding serial killers. He is one himself.
He murders people who deserve it. In the only episode that I saw today, he was gonna murdfer some boy because the boy murdered someone else. Well he didnt murder the boy because the reason the boy killed his victim was because he raped him when he was 15. So this was reason for the boy to 'take out the trash' and justifiable in the concious of 'DEXTER'.
He also murdered a nurse who was performing mercy killings by over dosing patients. \

His step father taught him that he had a special gift in the desire to kill living things. And took him out to finish killing a deer that he his father shot. By handing him a knife and stabbing the wounded deer to death.

watch and tell me if its over the top. its a poor and predictable plot. shock value is the only thing that it has going for it.

I love the show!! If someone is going to kill someone because of a show, then they were already f(*ed up in the first place. I read a lot of True Crime and Serial Killer books and I have never had the urge to kill anyone.

well that different...you read it in a BOOK.
you put the effort in reading the subject. Not have the TV flash images before you and manipulating your brain into what they wish you to beleive is acceptable behavior. Some teenage kid watching this could easily be influenced to beleive that he/she could have justification for going around killing folks.
It creeps me out what is morally acceptable on this show. The reviews go on and on about twisting. But anyone with a clear mind knows there is no twisting, its all perverted. Its like killing people in the name of christ perverted.

It dont even have to be a teenage kid, just the average joe who is delusional with mediocrity, and beleives what he sees on tv and the social behaviors as acceptable.

I still love this show... I think it's one of if not the most original show on TV.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I watched the first episode; it seemed alright. It's at least a quasi-original concept for a tv show.

Except mods, of course. hehehe...

~opens can of worms~

I am so tired that people blame television of movies for violence, like what happened to The Matrix.
The boys that stole The Matrix's imagery on their murder spree would have used some other imagery if The Matrix had not been around. It is in the killers, not in the imagery they use.

Let's start America's gun crazy stance instead, allowing kids to handle guns in the first place. Or people that raise kids that make a mess of it.

It's like Batman, with a twist.
