LOS ANGELES - Jamie Lee Curtis said she has closed the book on her acting career. "I'm not an actor anymore," she told "Access Hollywood" host Nancy O'Dell. "I really don't imagine I'll do that again."

Curtis, 46, went on to say, "I'm just focused on my family and just can't imagine anything that's going to pull me away from them right now."

Curtis appeared on the show to promote her latest children's book, "Is There a Human Race?" Her interview with O'Dell will appear on the show's weekend episode, an NBC spokeswoman said.

Curtis' last appeared in the 2005 film "The Kid & I."


She'll be miss.

"I'm just focused on my family and just can't imagine anything that's going to pull me away from them right now."

She is not acting anymore because she is not being offered anything anymore. :- She is just saving face. It's the same thing when movie actors go to do tv. They never just say the movie roles dried up. Instead they say that tv has better workin hours, i want to spend time with my family, yadda, yadda.

I wonder why Christopher Guest never put her in any of his films. It's true that there aren't that many great roles for 40-50-something women, but her own husband does them very well - Maybe they don't want to work together.

good for her - i think it's classy that she made that decision. it's not like she's hurting for money, and she has other passions in her life to follow. good for her.
