i just attended my third funeral of the year today...my sister's ex-boyfriend was murdered. i only knew him in passing, but i felt oddly out of place in a church full of grieving family members. (he had 5 children, all who were very upset and crying)...this on the heels of attending the funeral of my mother's best friend of 40 years (cancer), and my long-time neighbor's mother (natural causes). the stress level at work has been unbearable and i'm THIS close to ending a relationship with someone who can't stand to be second fiddle.
2006 can't get here fast enough.

i've had worse years in the 2000s, but this hasn't really been an easy year for me either...though i haven't had to deal with anything nearly as harsh as what you've dealt with, meltwithu. my heart goes out to ya.

maybe i'm (well, okay, i KNOW i am), but i can't help but feel like there's been an overall vibe of stressy weirdness in the air all year, just among people in general. i really hope we have a brighter 2006.

my highschool boyfriend buried his second child a couple of weeks ago... i was at his daughter's funeral but didn't find out about his son's until the day of. i have been thinking about him though. that is more pain than people should have to bear.

it's always a good wake up call to enjoy life! celebrate it and enjoy your family. 2006 will be a better year

2005 has been horrible for a lot of people I know, myself included.

thanks you guys i feel more fortunate than a lot of people who had far worse things happen to them, like our brothers and sisters who had to endure katrina and wilma, and i guess in the bigger scheme of things, nothing really bad happened to me personally...but it just seems that some piece of joy is missing somewhere this year. my stress level has really gone up and not to sound corny, but i swear i feel a lot closer to a lot of you guys on here than i do most people i see everyday. you guys have made me laugh after some really shitty days at work. so for that, thanks to you all!

It was hard for me as well I went to four funerals in a span of six weeks..in those four I lost my most precious grandma. My heart was broken, I got very sick, my mom got sick, and to end this my dad is sick...all with bronchitis and pneumonia....but being all sick right after another just drove me nuts....we never had this much amount of stress. So I know exactly what you're going through.It was really really hard for me and I just started to feel a little better. I hope as well that 2006 will be a better year for me and that it will get here quick quick.
