I was working at a forces base this morning ... one of the officers there was telling me that it's well-planned and that a lot of police officers from all forces had been deployed to Edinburgh for G8 so most forces are under-manned at the moment. With that in mind, I think the emergency services in London are doing an amazing job.

has anybody heard from lolly? or is she visiting somewhere else?

More than 33 fatalities confirmed by London Ambulance service as of 15:30 GMT

Over 300 people treated

Over 100 ambulance vehicles attended scenes

Over 200 firefighters attended scenes

i just woke up a few minutes ago and i'm still trying to get the whole picture of what's going on. i'm glad all you london orgers are okay, and i hope you stay safe and well.

Hello Folks,

I am a Londoner, and am just as shocked as you all are by what has happened today. It is a horrible situation to have to confront, but I would say to stay calm for now, as everyone here seems to be relativly calm, and the emergency services are working effectivly to deal with what has happened.
The mobile phone networks were shut down in central London, so contacting people is sporadic, and the tube network, zone 1 buses and some main line stations are shutdown. So people are being advised to stay where they are until things are a little easier to manage.

The numbers are still a little dicky, and let's pray they don't get too much higher - but the death toll of bus explosion has not been mentioned as yet. So people are unsure if the 33 mentioned includes that figure or not. According to a previous post possibly not.

No-one is still trapped according to the press conference under way, but transport in and around london is still pretty much screwed.

It's been an insane morning, and it took a few hours until I heard from my partner - safe and well thank God. It has been intense on here trying to keep things smooth n orderly as best I could, whilst wrestling with a dial up connection, updates, trying to contact friends and loved ones etc like everyone else. But it's been good to see most Orgers accounted for and they info and support being provided etc

So can I hand over to you for a while? I SO need a cuppa Rosee Lee mate.

Still no confirmation on this supposed suicide bomber shot dead at Canary Wharf. Police asked directly at press conference, they neither confirmed or denied it - just that they had no knowledge of that incident if it is indeed true.

The police have just said that they do not have reports of any snipers shooting terrorists at Canary Wharf.

Terminal 3 re-opened.
