Tony Blair's televised statement is due in the next few minutes.

Scotland Yard originally said explosions have been reported at Edgware Road, King's Cross, Liverpool Street, Russell Square, Aldgate East and Moorgate, but now seven explosions are reported.

A statement has just been handed to someone on BBC news - a 200 word statement has been found on an Islamic website claiming responsibility for Al-Qaeda. However, this has happened before when groups claim responsibility - so still not 100%

well yes, but to have Tony Blair himself declare it acts of terrorism holds a bit more water than hearing it from others.
