Bowie World Tour planned for 2003/2004!!!

Taken from billboard.com:

David Bowie will embark on his most extensive tour in more than a decade with the A Reality world tour, which will begin Oct. 7 in Copenhagen and hit Europe, North America, Australia, and Japan before wrapping in March 2004, Billboard has learned. The tour is expected to be announced Monday (June 16).

The tour will support a new ISO/Columbia release set for September, which is also the month North American tickets will first go on sale. European ticket sales begin the weekend of June 20. The Dandy Warhols will likely support that leg of the tour. Bowie will play 30 arenas in Europe; North American dates are tentatively set to begin Dec. 4 and run through January.

In North America, he will play a combination of full arenas, large theaters, and theater configurations in arenas. The tour will visit 17 countries throughout six or seven months, including Bowie's first trip Down Under since the late 1980s.

Recent performances appear to have stoked Bowie's fire for performing live. "Last year's shows were such a tremendous high and the audiences so responsive," he tells Billboard. "My band is playing at the top of its form right now, and it would be foolish not to play a tour this year while we're in such good spirits about the live-show aspects of our work."

Bowie's touring band is guitarists Gerry Leonard and Earl Slick, drummer Sterling Campbell, bassist/backing vocalist Gail Ann Dorsey, keyboardist Mike Garson, and keyboardist/backing vocalist Catherine Russell.

As previously reported, Bowie re-recorded his hit "Rebel Rebel" for inclusion on the soundtrack to "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," due June 24 from Columbia/Sony Music Soundtrax.

New album and massive tour. I will definatly buy the CD and would love to see him live in Detriot! Bowie rules and yes, Prince sould take notes. David tried the indie label thing, right, and it didn't work for him. Now he has a label (ISO) and has a deal with Columbia so that he can get a great deal! That's just what Prince should do. THe war is over. Just sign to a major label for one more album that we can all hear. Sorry to get off topic.

I hope not too expensive. I'd love for his tour to be my second concert ever.

I´ll B looking 4ward 2 see him in Stockholm.
I saw him in 1996 & 1997 & he blew my mind.
The dream concert would have been 2 catch him
on the Philly dogs tour in 1975.
