25th Anniversary, that's the reason i made this set. 5 CD's, 100 tracks, 20 tracks per CD, edited versions if necessary. No live versions, no unreleased material, no NPG-tracks if not sung by Prince and no collaborations. It's a mix of the so-called 'Hits' and other outstanding, essential album-tracks plus some of my personal faves. Every CD spans tracks from his whole career.

I think this wouldn't represent the enormous creative output of 25 years...but it's only one opinion.
The idea with the associated artists disc is good...i would include 5 Women, The Voice, The Sex of it

It wouldn't appeal to non-fans if it was a 5-cd set. And real fans would have all the songs anyway!
Why no collaborations?? I mean, Nona Gaye had less input on 'Love Sign' than say the NPG had on 'Sexy MF'

What about a disc of the best tracks where other artists cover Prince's songs?
There are very strange versions around, like Laibach's 'The Cross' or 'Alphabet St.' by The Jesus & Mary Chain, or ICNTTPOYM by Sigue Sigue Sputnik (really!).
