It premiered in the NPGMC monthly audio show for September, part of the mix "for these troubled times" that highlighted Prince's spiritual music. That plus the bagel and cream cheese / baklava lyric have many thinking it was to address the mideast crisis. However, I recall Aerogram giving this really great breakdown of the meaning on alt.music.prince as it could apply to what went down at The Rainbow Children listening sessions summer 2001 when folks didn't seem to appreciate the pearls that Prince was casting. The title draws from a Biblical phrase that warns against people not appreciating pearls of wisdom.
