when I graduated college and bought a real house...although I have been considering putting the June7 poster back up, or framing the Purple Rain LP poster...

About 10 years ago when I reached the grand old age of 21. By then I was thinking I was a little old for posters on the wall and record store promo material all over the place, still have kept em all tho.

Much love yes Pochacco

I was a grown woman when I became his fan besides I came from a very strict muslim family so there's no way in hell that you could find me hanging a poster about some 'Horny Toad' on my bedroom's wall wink not 2 mention I'm a 'mommy' and they(my kids) have 'too much' Prince in their lives lol

Only just put up my first poster for the Rainbow Children arwork in my studio.

Can't say I've ever had any "rock artist" poster up ever. I'd rather have my own stuff up.

I have a poster in my downstairs loo, the Chaos and Disorder one in my kitchen ('cus that's what my kitchen is) and various other ones around the house. It's my house, I love the posters, so they stay. I also have a Purple and White bathroom - sounds OTT but it is brilliant and everyone admires it. It's a free world, we can do as we please.

I stopped back when I was 20 or so...

I worked at this video store and the promotion 4 the video release of "Purple Rain" was in full swing. The video store was sent this giant wall size poster from the film (Prince on the motorcycle with the flowery margin), it must have measured 5 feet by 7 feet. I had that on my wall in my bedroom 4 the longest time!

lol

Now, nothing...but I do have the pyramid candle he sold thru NPGMC, still in the clear plastic wrapping with the gold ribbon wrapping it up at the top, sitting on my computer desk. It's got the o(+> on front on a sticker that claims that when I burn the candle and the wax melts down I'll get a pendant from within the candle 2 keep... I've been so tempted 2 burn it... but I can't bring myself 2 do it!

Also, I have the o(+> symbol on the rear window of my car... I'll never fully grow up!

I remember vividly. I was real happy with Prince when, all of a sudden, he released Purple Rain as a single without a decent video. That was the last straw. I went straight to my room and ripped the poster that had come with the LP to bits and flushed the pieces.

hmm. i don't have any Prince posters up at the moment. when i moved out of my college apartment to my new place, i didn't have anything on the walls. now, i only do in my bedroom. you know those cheap reproductions of famous paintings? I have Van Gogh's starry night and Picasso's Guernica up. and a black and white Bowie as Ziggy and a black and white of Madonna hitch-hiking naked from the Sex book.

that's all. it doesn't feel so claustrophobic without all that shit cluttering the walls.

I took all my posters down about a year ago all except for a few small pictures I left on my wall and a couple I have in frames but I went into withdrawal and could no longer stand it so up they went again.

Let's see...

A psychotic person is afflicted of "A severe mental disorder, with or without organic damage, characterized by derangement of personality and loss of contact with reality and causing deterioration of normal social functioning."

Doesn't that describe a good chunk of the Org's population?

I had one. I took it down many moons ago and put up some actual art that myself, my friends, and some talented strangers have produced over the years. Plus, my walls are such pretty colors (green living room, purple bedroom) that I don't want to cover them. And come ON, it's just weird to have giant pictures of some guy on your wall staring at you all the time.

My screensaver is pictures of various musicians, though, including several Prince pics, so I guess I don't have room to be too harsh a critic.

I've had a bunch. I took all of my posters down, Prince and otherwise, around '97 or so. Then when I moved out I had a few art posters and one of "The Future" cover on my wall. They've all been down for over a year though. I like my house plain and simple.

When I used to live with my parents,I had several Prince posters on my wall, including the "Under The Cherry Moon" promo poster that you would see in the movie theatre lobby.I also had a huge promo poster for the "Love Symbol" album that featured Prince and The NPG (including Mayte). It was given to me by a friend who worked at a record store back then.

Now,that I live on my own,I don't really have any Prince posters on the wall.Nowadays,I think posters are for kids wink

I never had any Prince posters. I just kept every magazine article I could find in a box. I still have them somewhere I think.
