maybe we should start posting our e-mail addresses so we can have a way to be in touch with each other if matt should decide to blackball us or erase us or un-person us or whatever it is he can do to moderate the appropriateness of his establishment. i know most of us have e-mail addys in our org profiles, but heck, he can erase those too.

...Ok, it sucks what happened. I like Shausler too. Shit, he sent me a copy of TTD's last downloaded CD for free for God's Sake. But this is also their site. I am not taking sides in this, really...who's right, who's wrong? Does it really matter anymore?

Shausler was never kicked off(though that may have changed, i don't know), but he felt that he needed to leave. I would never argue with that nor his reasons...he felt censored or quieted or shhh'd. Refs make bad calls sometimes, sometimes they don't.(again, i am NOT taking sides).

But now here's the dilemma: where do we go from here? Do we keep posting duplicates of Aaron's thread(zzz) or do we move on, mend our wounds, and hope Shausler feels comfortable to come back.

The truth of the matter is: The Org needs a facelift of some sort. I'll admit it: I MISS the old Org!! Not because i'm nostalgic for the 'old days'(or the dark screen), but because this site has been taken over by sensationalist threads day after day.

The good threads go 'bye bye' every minute and the "OK, i'm really leaving now" ones stay for a week. Huh??! That, and they're written by Jerry Springer wannabes, at best.

Shit at least the old org kept the old guard around: Wellbeyond, 2the9's, Goldni**a2000, Farfunknugin. Abrazo, etc--And I dig the new crowd...shit i've only been here since June 2000(was 'sanchristian'), but we've got to have an Org where we get new blood but keep the good 'old' ones too.

But now the site is "the Lord of the Rings' as Shause said.
And that's not Ben or Matt's fault. It's been that way for weeks now.

I've got friends in the UK who i doubt come here anymore...and they're diehard/enthusiastic Prince fans- like me. I used to tout this site to all my remotely Prince fans, cuz it was the bomb. Funny, insightful, revealing. Now, god the 'Oceana' threads are starting to make sense(scary huh).

Just trying to keep some peace i guess...trying to keep a good site good for some cool prince fans.

The way I see it
Shausler's thread was certainly no worse than most others.
It was merely the straw that finally broke the camel's back.
The General Discussion forum had been approaching critical mass for quite a while, and something was gonna give sooner or later.

The GD event horizon was expanding and threatening to engulf all the other forums, and possibly the org itself.

I'm sure Ben, Matt & co. can find a solution
& I know the Org will go on...
(eewww...sorry, that last bit came over all "Celine Dion" .)
