easy and cost efficient publicity for NFO

Just a thought about NFO and Yomamma's artistic talents. Why not design a postcard, order 5000 for about $300, split the costs into about $20 each and distribute to NFO members to leave at cafes, clubs, record stores, gigs, updates etc.

I could help in lots of ways, with discpline and all thsi shit. BUt i got no money. Brazil is a poor country, a dollar here is expensive. There was a time when One real was equal One dollar.
But nowadays to buy one dollar you got to have more than 3 reais.

Everything is free if you don't mind working for it.

I think we can ALL support the cause online, but when it comes to investing money in the project, let's just let this thing ferment a few more sessions - let it build up on it's own, but keep throwing out ideas.

All this is true but Ive been trying to get my project of the ground for free for years. It was only when I put some cash in that I got some back. Just my personal experience, the internet is changing, you cant get so much for nothing these days

My Xperience also Lewis.

Otan's right too...let it sit on a low bubble for awhile and reduce t'il thick and phat. Then, when the web site is full tilt boogie...then I would seriously think it well worth a $20/p investment. $20 to GET THE WORD OUT, internatioanlly from all the different cities that you represent... with something visually appealing, that Yomamma can make peeps wanna put on their fridges :-)and in their bookmarks. Could prove to be future clientelle. U may be giving away free music but you can also build a captive audience that could prove to be quite lucrative for any other art related elements that you may bring into the venture. Now we could debate that the internet can do the same thing for free, but no one will ever convince me that the virtual internet is better than the real touchy-feely thing.

Now I know that most Artists don't want to deal with this kind of business...they just wanna make sweet music and be recognized and respected for it...and this is obviously what this project is all about, but maybe it's a window to expand other artistic offerings too. Something you all can live on and debunk the starving artist theory.

Yuck, MP3 quality sucks neutral Good enough for listening on my PC, or through cheap speakers, or on a portable player, but it ain't good enough for me biggrin Any chance of putting together a proper CD audio release? I'll buy it then smile

ian - hold your horses. one of us is in the process of mastering all the songs for proper CD quality and stuff. I don't know how long it'll take, but all the songs on the current site are FROM mp3's, so, quality in, quality out... might as well just d/l them fer now, and wait til the real deal is ready to fly.

Hey that's good news...

I can appreciate the impracticalities of transferring massive uncompressed audio tracks around the net, but broadband is cheap nowadays so... it'd be cool if that came together.
