I can't play NEWS on my computer! Please Help!!! I was psyched to see NEWS arrive today...but when I play it via Windows Media Player...a black screen appears with some white blurry image that appears in the center of the screen. The image seems to be getting larger and almost appears to be spelling something. At first I was going to let it go but then I got nervous that it was a virus or something. Does anybody know what this problem may be? I didn't see anybody on the org reference this...so I'm thinking it's not a graphics thing that Prince is doing. When this screen appears it takes up the whole monitor screen and won't allow me to close it, minimize it, etc. Right click options won't close it either. I tried 3 times and this has happened every time.
I have no problem playing any other CD and this is the only CD player I have in my house or car...so I don't know right now if the CD is bad. HELP!!!

And how much should we charge 4 that?
If u would prefer it we could just not do this at all. NPGMC, money well spent! Common sense WILL get moderated with extreme prejudice!

So how do I bypass this thing and play the music?

Not sure, divo...I tried to figure it out for someone else over the weekend and ended up just telling the guy to play it in the car, b/c neither of us could figure out how to play the music in the computer. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

If you're using Windows, then hold the SHIFT key down when you put the CD in the drive. Hold it down for at least 20 seconds. The CD-ROM will read the disk for a while, then realize that the disc has a program to automatically run or something, and will check to see if you are holding down the shift key. If you are, then it won't autorun the disc. Once you're confident that the computer is done reading the disc, then you should be able to play it in WinAmp or some other player.
I don't have the CD, so I'm just suggesting that this is something to try. Good luck!

The bizarre thing is that even after I shut off the Flash program and then explored the disc using Windows Explorer, it only recognized the Flash file as being on the CD...no songs. I'm probably doing something wrong, but I couldn't figure it out. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

To kill the flash program, I just hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and ended the program. I too saw only the non-mp3 file when exploring the disc, but it will play in any player that plays CD's or mp3's. Open WMP, and click copy from CD to see the tracks and record them to your HD. ______________________________________

If you play the cd as is and put the quality on low the message will only take about 3 minutes to appear.
"HE CAUSES 2 BECOME". Levae it to Prince to have cute little messages on his cd's...reminded me of the "don't buy the black album" inside the cd cover from years ago.
