Tokyo, November 15th 2002 - Setlist:

Below is the setlist for tonight.
I think Prince was in good mood.
He gave us a fantastic concert.

Please note that Prince didn't play
during the soundcheck, but he showed up
and did "mike test (check one-two thing)"
last 5 min or so.

Tokyo, Kokusai Forum - November 15th 2002:

***Soundcheck (5:40pm - 6:15pm)***

1. Last December [Instrumental]
2. Instrumental Jam [Incl. a part of "Let's Work"]
3. Last December [with Prince, but just played guitar]

Prince showed up to test mike, came on stage
and played "Last December", but he only played the guitar.

He didn't sing at all, he said he was sleepy when he
showed up during soundcheck.

I heard he just arrived in Tokyo today, so he might
have been sleepy because of jet lag.

***Concert (7:15pm - 9:50pm)***
1. Drum Intro
2. The Rainbow Children
3. Pop Life
4. Purple Rain
5. The Work Pt.1
6. Mellow
7. 1+1+1=3
8. The Other Side Of The Pillow
9. Strange Relationship
10. Pass The Peas
11. When You Were Mine
12. Sign Of The Times
13. Take Me With U
14. Raspberry Beret
15. The Everlasting Now
16. Adore
17. Starfish And Coffee
18. Girls & Boys
19. Condition of The Heart
20. Sometimes It Snows In April
21. Nothing Compares 2 U
22. The Ladder [Incl. Speech]
23. How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?
24. Empty Room
25. Anna Stesia

Thanks Liberation biggrin Can you elaborate on a few things: how was the crowd? Were they insane b/c he hadn't been there in a while? Did they know the new songs? Gimme details! woot!

He got PR out of the way EARLY lol that's usually one folks are waiting for. My guess - the crowd went NUTS. Am I right???

Greg and Maceo, it was a really cool show. I thought it was very different from the London show. Prince came on and said he was tired, they had all just flown in the night before, but you couldn't see that when he started playing, he was in such a good mood, laughing and talking 2 everyone. He got up a guy called Tuna from the audience, Prince found this highly amusing smile

Yeah, he did this a lot too. The crowd were really into him and were dancing like they were at the Beatles lol It was really nice to see everyone enjoyed themselves so much
