Thanks adrian, frankly I was amazed that he would even come to Hamilton! I was planning on seeing him at Massy hall, but glad that I didnt have to travel that far. I dont'
drive I saw him in 88 & 93. Yes the Hamilton Place gig kicked ass. I would have paid 150.$ just to listen to him recite the alphabet! BTW...where did everyone go afterward? I was born here & cant think of one decent bar around..But then again..I dont get out much!...LOL P.S. Do you think he will come back to Hamilton? PPS...I e-mailed the spectator's entertainment editor b/c his concert review was sooo LAME, didnt mention any songs, or what he said & NO pictures! go figure..

Hi Sonic:
Well, he was doing the cross Canada trek, so Hamilton makes some sense since there are quite a few people in Southern Ontario who'd venture to the show. And besides, Massey Hall only holds 4000 people at its most packed, so doing a second show had its benefits. I was hesitant before the show. I told my buddy that I had a hard time paying $100 to see ANYBODY. Normally I refuse to pay this kinda cash because it's a stadium show and you're in the nose-bleeds; this was different. After it was over, I _WOULD HAVE_ paid TWICE the amount. I'd say it's the second best concert I've ever been to energy-wise (the 1st was INXS at Marine Terminal 28 in Nov '93). As far as afterwards, we had to head back to Toronto since my buddy had to work first thing the next morning. Will he ever be back? Oh I'm most certain he will. As for the review; the Toronto reviews I read sucked majorly. I find those who can't be constructive and creative as music artist become CRITICS and write reviews. As for no photos; I didn't see anybody taking photos at the Hamilton gig. I'm guessing Prince didn't offer photo ops for the press on this tour [there were _NO_ pix in the Toronto papers, either].
