Auction of many Prince items.

Auction off many Prince items those coffee mugs must not be moving. The cash register is ringing. Does anyone need leg warmers from the 80s?

what the...this is ncredible in so may ways..positve and negative. One thing for sure, he would be so displeased at this invasion of privacy. I could maybe see it being shown for spell and put away. I guess this is Elvis status where even a napkin with his dna on it is something to treasure/something of value. Not that even the Elvis shennanegns of his death fallout were not distasteful, but this is the world we live in.

.
1. It is not his proposal. Read paragraph 2 of the auction. It's notes written by a florist and her name is misspelled. It's clues.
.
2.
Prince left three warehouses full of his possessions that will take years to catalogue. Thousands of items.
.
3. Prince held yard sales himself. One lady bought a lamp.
.
4. These people are aging. They are Prince's age or even older. They have lots of his stuff. Paisley doesn't want or need more. What are they supposed to do? Keep it all in dusty boxes? They may not even have heirs who want it.
.
5. Old Friends 4 Sale originally referred to Big Chick selling lies to a tabloid. Not about possessions.
.
6.
If they need money more than stuff, it's fine. At least these items will go to someone who will preserve and love them.
.
I've got my eye on something myself. I thank the person who is auctioning it.
.

They are not selling stuff from P's warehouse and those items will go to his family members they are selling old leg warmers which is straight stupid. ( The fact that she kept them in of itself is bizarre. I do not have a problem with someone so not caring about their own body of work that they want to sell their platinum award. It kind of tells us you do not really give a shit about your own body of work on very important bodies of work.

Some of this was obviously nicked by employees I do not know to many people who give away their old check books and every scrap of paper they wrote notes on. If any of these folks were selling stuff when P was alive it would make sense but you are selling check books and leg warmers because he is not around and you want to scrap the bottom of the barrel and make a quick buck. I am sorry but some of this is tacky and it reflects badly on them. I hate to admit but in this case you play Prince and you play yourself and these people are playing themselves. Does Eric Leeds think he will get a lot of money selling the saxaphone stand he used on the SOTT tour? or that someone wants a suit he wore?

He should take that shit to a pawn shop.

Some interesting things on there. Here is a set of 3 cassette tapes of John L. Nelson.

Description

Scarce group lot of three cassette tapes from Prince's father John L. Nelson. Albums include: Father's Song (1994, Vive Records); a master copy of an unreleased self-titled album from 1991, with inner sleeve dated "10-7-93"; and a 1988 recording of 'Everyday IsSunday-Rain or Shine.' All cassettes are included. In overall very good to fine condition, with a crack to back of Father's Song case and two holes to 'Everyday IsSunday' insert. Nelson was a Minneapolis jazz musician and songwriter who performed under the stage name Prince Rogers, the very name he would later give to his son. Nelson co-wrote some music released by Prince in the 1980s, including 'Father’s Song,' 'Purple Rain Cues,' 'Computer Blue,' 'Around the World in a Day,' and 'Under the Cherry Moon.' On his 2002 One Nite Alone… album, Prince dedicated the song 'A Case of U,' a Joni Mitchell cover, to his father who passed away the previous year. From the collection of Prince’s former assistant.

Look at the description on this one. Expected to go for $1000

Description

Prince's personally-owned and -used pink Fashion Fair "Perfect Finish" makeup compact, containing "Amber Glo" creme makeup and a mirror. In very good to fine condition, with expected wear from use. From the collection of an early Prince insider. Prince famously wore makeup both on stage and off, and this "Amber Glo" must have been perfect for his fair caramel complexion.

This comment.... See this thread re Owen and Mayte auction which was to take place March 2016 but was pulled: http://prince.org/msg/5/4...?&pg=1 According to you, this didn't "make sense" then (BEFORE Prince passed) so, I wonder, what's changed?

They were not selling checks books and old leg warmers and Prince stopped the auction. My point being they tried it when he was alive so they were not trying to be slick to cash in on his death but they still got stopped.

That is my point. Only a greedy ass would wait until after he died to try and sell some of this crap. At least the others were doing it when he was around even thought the stuff they were selling was straight stupid and some of the Mayte stuff was left over from her Facebook sale.

I have seen the screen shots of that joke of a sale.

I am sorry that you have decided to live in La La land. Keeping some old leg warmers and an old check book is some desperate ass shit. I am not hurt or bitter about it as it has no bearing on my life. I am simply making an observation with factual information to point out the tacky shit that associates are doing who obviously have no class whatsoever and never heard of Goodwill.

Oddly enough other forums have no problem seeing this for what it is.

I came here today to see what was new and this auction is definitely new. There are some good things at the auction, I like the Madhouse collection. Some of it is a little cheesey. I just want to say that if the staff at PP passed on the Rick James tour ID they all need to be fired. That is priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That should be in the front of PP with the tape recorderand hand written notes.

How old was that makeup????????

Beautiful, Loved and Blessed

Thank You Prince
