Another Prince auction

Remember the lady that was selling her letter from P on ebay? I can't remember, I think she was asking $20,000. We'll see what it brings....http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/192/lot/82696/

.

There's lots of awesome stuff in this auction. Wish I was rich!

There are some very cool items up for grabs! Like this:

"A vintage ¼-inch magnetic tape recording of three early songs by Prince. The recording was produced circa 1976-1977 at Sound80 studio in Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and sent out as a demo to various record labels in order to draw attention to Prince’s musical talent. The subsequent publicity lead to a contract with Warner Brothers. The three songs on the recording are “Just as Long as We’re Together,” “My Love Is Forever,” and “Jelly Jam.” After receiving his contract, the first two songs were re-recorded and released on Prince’s debut album For You (Warner Bros., 1978) with the last song being modified and added as a coda to the first song. The reel is housed in a vintage Sound80 studio brand box. Prince wrote his name and the titles of each song on the verso of the box, dotting the “I” in his name with a heart and altering the “W” in the first track to look like a pair of breasts. Also present are production notes and a credit to audio engineer David Rivkin"

"I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015
