Lot of four(4) authentic newspaper sections from the major daily, Minneapolis Star and Tribune. They are authentic originals from 1984. These papers include special features, articles, reviews and adverts leading up to the July 27, 1984 Minneapolis/St. Paul opening day of the motion picture "Purple Rain."
Article headlines and/or toppers include but are not limited to:

• Prince: film is emotional biography
• Prince: film too much like life of star to reveal acting ability
• Prince: He kept family problems to self
• PRINCE: Critics and stars have been strong backers
• Prince reigns as nation's top pop music figure
• Film is ultimate 'creative gesture'
• Prince Roger Nelson encountered sour notes in life*
• City, too, is Star of 'Purple Rain'
• Three managers helped prince become king

Specifically, the run dates and sections include:
• Sunday, July 22, 1984-from entertainment/art section 1G
• Monday, July 23, 1984-from Variety section 1C
• Wednesday, July 25, 1984-from Variety section 1C
• Friday, July 27, 1984-from Variety/Weekend section 1C

*Note: these are not entire newspapers from each day. They are the pertinent clippings from and/or related to Prince and the film "Purple Rain."
These are original newspaper clippings. These pop culture time capsules are 30+ years old. Naturally, they are yellowed in many areas. They have been read and therefore used. They have been stored in a smoke free home. There are some small holes in portions of the papers, especially where there are folds. There are slight tears in parts. These were printed within a mile of the famous first Avenue venue; a pivotal "character" in the movie.

If you would like to own these two artifacts of music and movie history, you can!

May U live 2 see the Dawn

**Free shipping within the continental United States. For all other locations around the world, buyer assumes responsibility for any/all import charges or fees

*Note: The seller is aware that "Prince Roger Nelson" has been used in the description. This reflects the actual headline and copy by staff writer Jon Bream and Minneapolis Star and Tribune editors. Prince's middle name was Rogers.
