I was visiting London last week on business and I had a wonder around Harrods in the evening, I was surprised to find a mounted signed photo from Prince with a used guitar pick, up for £4000 in the millionaires gallery.

They seemed abit sketchy on the date it was signed, the owner reckoned it was over 15 years old but he had no specific date, £4000 is allot without a full history, though its from Harrods, so I'd expect it to be legit:

With the low resolution of the signed area of the reproduction, it’s tough to decide whether this signature is authentic or not. From what can been seen, it certainly could be legit, and if so, then this would likely date back to the years 1986 through 1988 (release of Parade album/ Parade tour through 1988 signing sessions … with the words "Love God" being part of the signature). However, I find it really odd to see combined this b/w Parade era (1986) shot with a presumable ’88 signature AND a full-color Super Bowl halftime show one which dates from about 20 years AFTER the signature. Kinda tasteless, if you ask me. And with that price tag … ridiculous! Should be worth more like 400, rather than 4,000 for sure … given its assumed authenticity. Next.

Yep, I agree, I suspect its from around 86, maybe the Parade/HitnRun tour, I think in 88 he was mainly signing 'Love God P88', presentation is not the best as its a mix of era's, would have been better to mount with a Parade era poster/B&W shaped picture disk etc, the signature is more visible in person and as it is written in pen, its allot more defined than you get with most album/poster signatures done with a thick marker pen.

I just put it on here as it's unusual to see an item like this in a big store like Harrods and any fans in/visiting London might wanna take a look, the whole millionaire memorabilia is worth a visit, they have Hendrix clothing, movie items, cool signed movie posters and legal documents signed by Kings & Presidents.

I won't be buying at £4,000
