Just found out about this book and it seems so interesting, was wondering where to get it or if you stil can? how much it was etc. etc.

now and then someone is selling their copy on ebay, but it's fairly rare. when the book was in print, people pretty much grabbed them up and whoever has a copy is probably not willing to part with it.

they were talking about releasing an updated version of the vault, but i think that idea fell into the abyss. hopefully now that i mentioned them, someone from uptown will magically pop into this thread and correct me.

Fairly rare is an understatement ... it sells over $100 if found at all

Wow, I had no idea. I just checked ebay and the last one sold there was for $249.99.

I've sold most of my Prince collection that isn't music. But The Vault is still sitting pristinely on the shelf. Hmmmmm.

I ordered mine a few months ago from the site after e-mailing Per. At that time, he had a few left and I got one of them (including autograph!). If you e-mail quickly, you may be able to catch one of the last copies?

yeah, but if it's $249 now, just imagine how much it'll be worth in five or ten years. i'd sit on it for a while longer.

of course, i'm biased. it gets more play on my reference shelf than strunk, white and roget combined.

I've only looked at it a few times since I've gotten it but I have a feeling the dividends will pay off in the end. It also gives me a neverending list of things to search for in music, videos and articles...which is great...oh man, I'm crossing into famhood
