Not much info from the seller. If it was used by Prince, the price would be thousands more. If the guitar is a Schecter, as sold by NPGMC and out of Paisley park, it's a couple grand overpriced.
Steer clear from this seller. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

SexyBeast - I got quite a few answers regarding my question on HQ; yes, but of course the more sources I ask the question, the more helpful knowledge and understanding I will gain.
Squirrel - Thanks for the heads up, I think you're right. I just want a cloud!! lol.

Hi there, i own a Cloud bought from a guy off Ebay approx 3 years ago for £850.
I got him to email me the serial number (all genuine ones have one) and then emailed schecter directly to get the info about the life of the guitar. They told me via email that mine was born in 1992 and ordered by PP. Order form says it got to PP too. As for insurance purposes they i should insure it for a few thousand dollars. That was 3 years ago....so as long as the history stacks up, i say go for it. $3500 is a little steep, but if schecter can shed some light on it, it may be a bargain?? However $1000-2000 seems reasonable given what schecter said to me. Hope this helps...btw, mine sounds fantastic. - if i knew how to post a pic of it i would. Peace and B wild

Things to be aware of about the Schecter Clouds:
They were made in white and blue only. They were sold with bolt-on and set-neck(body and neck as one piece) at the same price. The earlier ones had 's to mark the frets. Later ones had only dots. There are "blems" out there on the market. These are factory seconds that had slight paint chipping on the neck, where the paint stops at the fretboard. The factory retouched the chips with color correct paint. Non-"blems" will easily chip if bumped on this edge as well. The guitar is 3/4 scale as specified by Prince, so if you want to play it, know that it's quite small. The hardware is good quality, but not the same as a custom Prince Cloud. No active EMGs. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I note what you say re the schecter clouds and mine has the symbol on the frets.
No blems/chips etc. as for the active emg's im not so sure if mine has them or not = i'll have to double check. All i know, is that it looks and sounds like the real McCoy and certainly adds a WOW factor to my overall prince collection. Its great to hear more info on it though Squirrel. All the best Matt
