I'm quite certain more then 5 exist but that is a VERY rare item if it's legit which if memory serves thats how it looked when delivered (which doesn't mean he didn't copy the artwork etc). Does anyone have a list of the radio stations that received it?

I have a burned copy of it and it was real exciting at the time because it was released well before ONA.

If legit I don't think the price is outrageous. Now one day I saw someone paying around $200 for the boot Funk City which is completely insane.

I'm glad you reminded me of this disc because I forgot how much better I liked the version of Xenophobia on this cd compared to the one on the official release.

It looks about as bootleg as a 21 tracked GoldNigga with bad photocopying

Oh wait....I saw that too. Whatever. rolleyes
But what about this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-...dZViewItem

Why would anyone want something that looks like a Prince cd, but really isn't?
The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Well, I'm no professional but...I am steadily working on my own Prince collection. Judging from your response, I guess it's probably worth a lot? I wouldn't want it though. shrug

It's not

Lovemachine's just trying to act authorative when the Gold Experience CD's worth fuck all.

There was indeed an EP of ONA Live released, but I don't think it looked like this. I think it had the text printed directly onto the top of a silver disc - this one looks like someone's been messing around with their R200 and printable cdr.

What else are you supposed to answer when she wonders why someone would want something that didn't play what it was supposed to. Because it's collectible. As for value things don't always have to be worth a lot to be collected.

First of all that's not a sentence so I'm not exactly sure what you are saying but exactly how am I acting authoritive? It's not like I even mentioned what I thought it might be worth or gave any information other then it's a collectible.

I assume you are mad because it seems you didn't know the original item (The ONA EP) existed (and you will notice I said I didn't really know if it were real or not) but it certainly exists.

Looking around I found this from Dawnation
http://www.dawnation.com/comingup.html
scroll down and you'll find it. Looks exactly the same as the eBay listing, so no idea if it is real or fake.
Definitely very easy to make copies of, though.

I thought it looked the same. Its worth tracking down a copy just for the version of "Xenophobia" included.

shhh I can read you talking about me. smile I understand that something may be collectible b/c it's unique, but come on; $270US for a cd that doesn't even have the right music? I mean maybe if it had the Black Album instead of Gold or something, but who is this Blur Parklife cat? At any rate, someone seems to find it interesting, as there is a bid on it. (Maybe it's you? lol )

Didn't mean to cause any trouble...

I never said the Gold/Blur cd was worthless, just that I didn't really think it was worth as much as that person was asking. I was just teasing about you being the bidder, btw.

Just becuase someone paid $125 for it on ebay doesn't mean it's worth that.

As to £300 for that ONA CD - time to burn some CDR's and print up some labels !
