Vivica A. Fox Got Some Choice Words 4 Mr.Ugly Duckly!

VIVICA’S BACKSTAGE RANT AGAINST 50 – UNEDITED: The actress can no longer hold her tongue.

(Jul. 1, 2004) *You may have already heard that Vivica A. Fox, film star and co-executive producer of the Lifetime series “Missing,” launched a verbal assault on ex-flame 50 Cent in the BET Awards press room Tuesday.
About nine months ago, the actress stunned everyone when she showed up at the MTV Video Music Awards on the arm of the hottest rapper in the game. At another awards show held shortly after that VMA appearance, Vivica’s publicist preceded her entry into the press room demanding that

we not ask her any questions about 50, or her love life, period - or we’d be “asked to leave.”
In the nine months since the VMAs, 50 has insinuated to the press that Vivica is “crazy,” and that she needed his fame to get her face back on magazine covers. And let’s not forget the rumors of a restraining order he allegedly took out against the “Kill Bill” actress. While Fitty continued to talk publicly about the breakup, Vivica kept quiet.

On Tuesday, her silence ended - abruptly and without warning. Right before our eyes, Vivica A. Fox actually became Vernita Green from “Kill Bill” and went off on the child.

Here is the full text - with visual accompaniment - in all its ghetto glory:

“50 Cent likes to think he made me sexy. (She pauses 15 seconds for effect while the press room sits in shock because it came out of nowhere.) I just had to get that out in the universe and let him know – [that] no he did not. I got up and did Tai-Bo three to five times a week, all the time; watched what I put in my mouth. But that’s where? Back there. (She points behind her, to the past.) I’m sorry baby. (She looks at the baby-faced journalist, whose question – “Were you a heart-throb before you became a star?” – started the whole tirade.) Y'all don’t know, I been waiting a year to say that. I been holdin’ the tongue. (She screams.) I been HOLDIN’ THE TONGUE, NOT SAYIN’ NOTHING! Lettin’ him talk all kind of s**t. (Still yelling.) Yall remember last year? That’s where the s**t started – he shouted me out from the [BET Awards] stage, ‘I wanna thank Vivica for wearing that dress,’ but all of a sudden I’m exploiting him. How long I been here y'all? How many years? How long I been here, I ain’t got to exploit nobody!”

(She regroups as journalists whoop and holler and yell church-like encouragement. The press room handler tries to call on another journalist. Vivica interrupts him.) “No let me answer my baby’s question. I just had to vent that y'all, because I been quiet for nine months. Whooo, let me get some church up in here today.

Okay. (She calms herself down a second time.) No, you know what it was, I don’t have nothin’ against him. But you know what I didn’t like about the whole situation was that he made it public and he pitted a sister and a brother against one another - and that was wrong. You know what I’m saying? We as black people have to stick together. That’s why I’m so proud of BET. That is one of the only awards shows that makes sure it honors and lifts up its talent. And I did not like [50’s behavior], that’s why I did stay quiet, because y'all did not deserve to see two quality entertainers – especially me – (Tone becomes sharper; measured.) I been in the game for 10, 15 years. I didn’t need to exploit or use nobody. My films have grossed over one billion dollars worldwide. I ain’t gotta use nobody for no cover of no magazine. I been on magazines forever. So he can put that where? Back there.”

And … scene!

"My films have grossed over one billion dollars worldwide."

Like she was really the box office attraction in any of them.

Also, considering Independence Day (it was not "Vivica A. Fox starring in.....INDEPENDENCE DAY!", now was it?) constitutes about $600M of that billion, it's a rather misleading figure.

I cant believe yall are hating on Vivica. What did she do so bad? All of a sudden ya'll hate 50 Cent and everything he stands for but next yall hating on some1 who doesnt like him weither. She had no business being seen with him in the first place, but hey...yall need 2 be cheering her on.

And she is right. BET is the only station where African American culture is being lifted. Now most of their daaytime programming shows the same ol bullshit..but come on.

I like Vivica ALOT... but she's full of shit. She was here in Raleigh a few months ago for a Women's empowerment thing. She started off saying the EXACT SAME THING. But then throughout her short speech she threw much dirt at 50. Contradictory and stupid in my opinoin. If you are going to be above something BE ABOVE IT and keep it moving.

Other wise don't talk about how folks should get along in one breath and then in the 5th and every 10th breath after that crack a snide joke about how "50 said he didn't buy me nothing.. oh look ya'll what time is it now?? as she checks out and flashes the rolex she says he gave her.

PLEASE.

And BET SUX.

When I was growing up it was the best. But now, most parents I know (like myself) don't even allow it on in their homes.

Hmmm....

What, pray tell, is uplifting to Black culture about BET? The way Bob Johnson treated (the best thing about that network at the time) Tavis Smiley, or the stereotypical dumbed down videos they show, or the way they once upon a time had quality programming and eventually sold it down the river (and it was in this state prior to Viacom's buyout)? What?

yeah but what's the point when that's all reporters are asking you about? She's human and I'd think after I keep getting the same questions from the press, I'd probably snap at some point too. Don't put her on such a pedestal.

What is uplifting about BET? The bootylicious videos? BET After Dark? 106th and Park where the audience is made of pre-teen and teen-aged kids being shown a whole block of bootylicious videos? Didn't dude sell BET? Didn't he get rid of Tavis and Ed Gordon, the best thing BET had going for it?

That's y i said most of their daytime programming is bullshit. Now that i look at it most of it is bullshit on there. But other than UPN and VH1 Classic Soul (which doesnt come on out here for some reason only for 1/2 hour once a week early in the morning or something), there arent alot of stations showing black people.

Well...Morris is hosting Grown Folks Music. Though Grown Folks music baically is starting 2 show the SAME OL SHIT. They just need 2 get their station 2gether. I MISS THE OLD BET AND I AM HOLDING ON 2 THE PAST sad cry

I see. I think most of us miss the old BET. And don't misunderstand me, I'm not somebody who believes entertainment for the sake of entertainment is a bad thing. It's just that Bob Johnson allowed BET to go down the drain after it could have had a greater impact on so many different levels.

I went to the same high school as Joyce DeWitt, and I went to the same college as Joyce DeWitt. It hasn't done me a damn bit of good other than I know how to rock a shag hairdo and a pair of Sheer Energy hose.

Joyce sure could rock a pair of designer jeans, though. She was the REAL sexy one, and she got better throughout the run of the show. By the last season, I was ready to "dew-itt" to Joyce:) She and Mary-ann from Gilligan's Island - it's a tossup...
