New Lenny Kravitz album "Baptism" is ok again!!!

And again it is a nice album... When i heard the single, it was the first time for me that i didn't react positive.. Every time Lennre releases an album i think it is a good one, but i feared this one... and yet again, IT IS GREAT!!!!!
So all you Lenny fans... go and listen/buy BAPTISM!!!
Anyone of you heard it also? What do you think?

I haven't heard anything from this new cd, but I will be buying it next week. I like Lenny and even though I was a little disappointed with his last cd, I still think he's a pretty cool guy.

ok the album is ok, but i prefer the more funky stuff like from the album five, i dont think it as good as 'five' or 'lenny' by a long shot!!

and what really got on my nerves was, im sitting there listening to the song 'storm' thinking to myself, this tunes cool and one of the best so far, and then what the hell, Jay-z starts rapping, totally ruined the song, he just babbles a load of rubbish nothing to do with the content of the song!!

why do these musicians ruin songs with pointless appearances from rap stars

I'm diggin' it. Like most albums these days it's hard 2 make a judgement after 1 or 2 listens. Right now it's good but who knows how i will feel next week. How good music is depends on your mood at the time. I have gone from hatin' and album 2 lovin' it and back.

I bought it today, after listening to it on VH1.com first. Listening to it on the web made me think it was good enough to buy.

And I have to say, I'm quite satisfied.

I think it's as good as 5 and better than "Lenny".

Gotta tell y'all...Lenny is on a steady decline for me. After hearing the underwhelming "Where Are We Runnin' " a month or so ago, I had low expectations for Baptism....guess they should have been lower. And I thought "Lenny" was weak. I've listened to Baptism two or theree times, not one song is really memorable, they are stripped down, simples tunes...which, don't get me wrong, works for many artists alot of the time...not Lenny, not this time. Just disappointed I guess. Maybe he should focus more on his music than his clothes.

Lenny is Cool. I Love the New look. He was on Leno doing the new single. He was Great. The album comes out on the 18th. I think Lenny looks Sexy with the straight hair.

I'm listening to it right now. First impressions, its way better than Lenny, but not as good as 5. I really miss the soul/funk/rock feel of Mama Said, but this album is pretty good.

i heard he made the whole album in a matter of a month or 2? something like that? I never heard it but im gettin the feelin that it may become another "Fly Or Die" (NERD).

Yeah, i like it. I'm a bit disapponited by the last 3-4 tracks and by Sistamamalover, qhich I found borin, but there are some really cool tunes:
BAPTIZED is the perfection.
MINISTER OF ROCK N ROLL is powerful and sensual groovy.
WHERE ARE WE RUNNIN a great stick in your mind chorus
LADY a good old school rhythm with passionate vocals
CALIFORNIA a dive into the past for Lenny, and a great WEst-coast tune
my favourite so far is i don't wanna be a star. i FOUND IT INCREDIBLE

buy it!!!!!

ever heard of a little album called "in utero" by nirvana?

and there are countless other "rushed" albums that have been huge.

or how about "surfer rosa" by the pixies?

terence trent d'arby and stevie wonder are two talents who compare to P even more in my opinion.
