To the sad, bitter Prince fans who diss Michael Jackson.

There's nothing worse than a bunch of bitter Prince fans accusing Michael of being weird! Detect the irony? LOL.

Perhaps you feel threatened that Michael is still a significant artist after thirty years, and Prince's reign only lasted 8 (1982-1989)

If you believe those allegations your seriously mentally challenged, everyone knows it was blatant fraude. And to criticise him for his appearance is highly shallow and speaks volumes about the kind of person you are. The guy deserves respect for his impact on modern culture, something which Prince hasn't made in over a decade.

The only thing that the paedophile freak impacts on modern culture is a collective sigh of relief that nobody else in the world, except perhaps people dead for around 2 or 3 years, look like him.

Prince is more respected as a serious musician than Jackson ever will be. He is regarded as a freak show and is in the public eye because of the public fascination for all things strange.

Query:

Why do MJ fans constantly have to come on here and whine about how we don't give him any respect?

Maybe it's because MJ's one album every five-year output doesn't give them enough to do with their time. Then, when MJ does finally put out an album, it's the same-old rehashed lyrics and sounds that he's done on every album since Thriller.

It's too bad that someone who made such a great album (Off the Wall) had his career go completely in the toilet.

thats how mj has all his $$$$$ buy selling all those rights to songs so they can use them on nike comercials...etc.
that wasnt the intention of paul and john's songs.
when i found out about that it showed what kinda person mj IS
and i stopped thinking he was anything great at all!

It is not at all shallow to criticise MJ's physical appearance when the freak was ashamed of his own race and changed the colour of his skin. Don't give me all the skin disorder bullshit 'cause it sickens me. We know he wanted to be white and so had his skin bleached. I used to be an MJ fan about 10 years ago and even saw him in concert. He was a great performer back in the day. And he has a great voice. But that's where it stops. He is an entertainer who is still boring us with the same old Smooth Criminal dance moves. Prince is a transgressive musician who consistently entertains. No contest. Please, no more jealous MJ fans chatting rubbish!

Michael Jackson is only as good as his producers! He gets the best that are out "at the moment" and has them produce his songs! How hard is that, anyone that can sing and can afford a producer, can do that! rolleyes

Michael Jackson could never even think about doing a "One Night Alone" type of show. MJ needs all kinds of laser lights and explosions to make his live shows interesting.

When is the last time MJ even toured the U.S.? MJ is afraid to tour in the land of his birth. He keeps touring in Eastern Europe where people are still impressed by his light show and lip synching.

Ok fine, so you're entitled to your opinion. What I wanna know is this:

Are you just TRYING to stir up hate and a post full of swearing, are you just bitter about something, or what? What on earth possessed you bring up this post? It was kind of sad.

Granted, appearance shouldn't be a basis for opinion, but success should also not matter. Otherwise we should consider Britney Spears and N'Sync as better artists than Prince because they're making more money and hits than Prince at the time.

Sorry, I just don't understand what inspired you to write this, unless another post that I missed was solely for dissing Michael Jackson, then I can understand this post, but otherwise it makes no sense. Anyways...

I was a naysayer of Michael until I bought his latest album. Despite is unusual appeareance the man still has it. He still has those unique moves and that coveted voice that made him famous so many years ago.

Micheal I Loved as a kid and now I look at as a man whose not very talented Musically..he dances well, he sings ok!
He Looks Terrible and no way would I go through the changes to make my self look white to please the rest of the world... He's a blk man, who wants to be white and he's very disgusting in appearance... he has had his time and frankly its gotten very tired!

Prince I only knew of from hits like "I wanna be your lover, 1999, soft and wet ,controversy and purple rain to kiss, sign o'times , alphabet st., batdance, theives in the tempo, diamonds and pearls , 7, beatiful girl, and Betcha by golly wow, plus greatest romance and U make my sunshine...
Sure Prince didn't get the respect that Mike did, because Prince was and still is for the Mature audience... he plays well{all instruments} he doesn't have to impress anyone and he doesn't have to change his color to be on top or seem invincible!
Mike is cool for what he has contributed to the music world for some 30 some odd years... Prince for 25 years or so... Each time he reinvents his world w/music and style... he may not be commercial, but once your commercial/pop's lil darling so to speak..then you have to prove yourself or maintain an image or convince someone of something that doesn't rack up to reality...Micheal is not GOD! and he's not the Best, neither is Prince!

Their both artist w/ different sounds and different views of the world... I stopped liking Mike after Dangerous, because he lost me...I got more into Prince after Batman! and I liked his music previous to that because it was adventurous and sexy and daring.
I was a kid then...now I'm an adult and still Prince Has my interest and mike is just Ok for me!

none of mikes music can be played now and sound on time!
Prince music still lives on..so what if he doesn't chart as high or at all... so what if he doesnt grace covers of magazines or have a video played all damn day! this keeps the music and the artist himself - fresh and enigmatic to those of interest that really want to know what he's doing next!
Prince may not be as "POP"ular or all over the dial ...But he still has his Image, Style, Musical Talents and the Ability to Rock the World when he wants...no artist can chang a name and put so much power into something unpronounceable and it appears magical..his stance for freedom and to sacrifice his namesake and fame and allow the negative critics and fans alike... who stopped following him a decade ago to constant degrade him and call him talent-less or insane and no more relavant...is what he knew would come once he decided to stay away from this bullshit of an industry... is being true to his god given gift! and if he can still sell out shows and record music and give it to 15,000-20,000 ppl over the internet ...then at least he still has the interest to record and the dignity to be proud of his journey and the respect from those who complete GET HIM!!!

If you don't- then DON'T!

But it doesnt take 30million dollars and 5-7 years to create a masterpiece.

The Rainbow Children is Pure Brilliance...and Rave is as Pop as you can get!
I'd take Prince over Mj anyday! I'm not impressed at all!

Peace!

wellbeyond, it's cool man, (at the moment i'm listening 2 bob marley's zimbabwe), but for all Prince's fans who dig house music:

The Cat's in the house
Expatriot dance music guru Felix da Housecat's many lives

By Greg Kot

Trend-spotters tell us that an '80s revival is in full swing. But for Felix Stallings Jr., a.k.a. Felix da Housecat, the '80s never left.
"You listen to Timbaland or the Neptunes or the new No Doubt record, there is electronic music all over their stuff — that '80s sound is coming really heavy," says the Chicago native, who has spent most of the last decade as a dance-music quadruple threat (producer, mixer, deejay and label owner) in Europe. His new album, "Kittenz and Thee Glitz" (Emperor Norton), is his best and the first to enjoy domestic release — a synthesis of Euro-trash disco groove, new-wave attitude and Moog-pop melodicism that should appeal to martini-sippers and rave-hoppers alike.
"I always told people Europe was seven years ahead of us," says Stallings, who appears with Miss Kittin Friday, Jan. 25, at Zentra, and will deejay at Crowbar on Feb. 1.
"My other albums aren't that different, but I can see why people like this one. The sounds I used are gritty and low-fi, but the arranging and song structures are more mature and polished."
His "Housecat" moniker implies a commitment to the sound Chicago made famous, but Stallings says he's been trying to drop it. "The record company in Europe won't let me," he says. "When you hear 'house' in the name, people instantly put me in a category. Not to sound arrogant, but I don't hear house music on this album. I think it's just electronic music."
During the mid-'80s Golden Age for the city's dance music, Stallings was a self-taught keyboardist smitten by the sounds of the Eurythmics, Depeche Mode and especially the "Purple Rain"-era Prince. His talents came to the attention of DJ Pierre, already an established force, and led to a classic debut single, Phantasy Club's "Phantasy Girl."

Mj not playing piano or guitar....ooh excuse me i never saw James Brown with an instrument neither, and what about George Clinton??!!!!And the list goes on.....Playing instruments on stage (or on records) is what makes you talented...Madonna played guitar on her last tour so is she now more talented than MJ, just because she dares touch an instrument....total bullshit....Mj is not a musician, never pretend to be one...take him for what he is: a performer. For me, Mj and Prince are not in the same category, Mj is more like James Brown, Sinatra, Nat king Cole, Smokey Robinson, Jackie Wilson, most of Motown acts, Sam Cooke....Prince is in another one with: Zappa, Miles,Hendrix, Sly stone.... I like the two of them for different reasons and i don't understand why i'd have to make a choice....

Please stop the dissing, show you're not limiting your views to tabloïds headlines.....Freak, gay, peadophile, bastard, criminal...that's your words when you speak about him, why so much HATE???? Maybe you don't like his work, that's ok with me, you don't like his personnality, that's ok too, but why so much rudeness and disrescpect????

Forget the man if he's not you cup of tea....There's place for both Prince and Mj, in the music world.

Actually, the truly sad and bitter fans are Michael Jackson fans since they have to accept the fact that he is certainly no longer the King of Pop. Getting knocked off the top of the pop charts after only one week by Britney Spears must certainly be an embarrassment to the ghoul formerly known as Michael Jackson. And taking six or seven years to come out with the very mediocre Invincible is hardly the sign of genius. MJ is a very sick individual, and I think more and more people are starting to realize that. He's a liar and a pedophile who used to be majorly talented.
Meanwhile, Prince has taken on the record industry, and in many ways has won the battle. He still manages to sell a respectable amount of CDs for someone who gets no airplay and in effect has been blacklisted by the music industry. More and more artists are following his lead and doing it for themselves. Prince's legacy will be far more substantial and longer lasting than Michael's. Michael still a significant artist? Well, firstly he's not an artist and the only thing significant about him is how bad he looks and why he won't sing live anymore. And MJ's legacy? In twenty years, his son will probably be a child molester just like his daddy.

Michael Jackson is ok. He's a very good entertainer. I agree with the point about his producers though. I just think he screwed his carreer by having kids around him the way he did. And I don't like that he edited the ending of Black or White 2 satisfy critics. 2 me that was the best part of the video because it showcased all of his dance moves in 1 segment.
